It's been 2 years since the last time Sana had dated. Her friend Nayeon somehow managed to convince her that it was about time she start meeting people again. It's not like she's not over her past relationships but the problem is that it's been so long that she doesn't even know how to do this anymore. She was nervous, not only because of that but because she knew almost nothing about the guy he was going to meet that night.
Her trusted driver pulled by the restaurant and she came back to reality as he opened the door for her. He warmly smiled at her and lend her a hand to get out of the vehicle. The old man had been working for her family since before she was even born and he had seen her grow up into the amazing woman she is today.
"You look gorgeous tonight Miss Sana, don't be nervous." He said as Sana got out of the car.
"That's easy to say." Sana replied as she slightly fixed her dress.
"Don't worry, you know that you just have to call and I'll pick you up. Have fun."
The place was really nice, one of those places you have to wait quite a lot to get a reservation but thanks to one of her friends who knew the owner she was able to get a reservation. She took a moment to observe her sorroundings, the warm lights and the cozy atmosphere made her feel more comfortable so her confidence came back a bit. A young woman aproached her to ask about her reservation and led the japanese girl to her table. Sana couldn't help but notice how beautiful the young waitress was, her contrasting dark hair against pale skin and one of the most beautiful and warm smiles she had ever seen.
"If you need anything don't hesitate to call me. Kim Dahyun at your service."
"Thanks, I'll wait for a bit."
The night went on and Sana was getting impatient, she wanted to believe that her date was probably just late but as it got later and later she started losing her confidence and realized the guy was probably not going to show up. Dahyun aproached her from time to time but she kept telling the girl that she would wait. From across the room Dahyun looked at the lonely girl the whole night, knowing that whoever she was waiting for was most likely not going to show up, she had seen scenes like this a lot of times. But for some reason the sight of that girl in particular made her heart ache.
It was already time to close and Dahyun was getting ready to leave when she realized Sana was still there playing with her martini. She hadn't even touched her drink. The waitress aproached Sana's table and hesitated for a second before speaking.
"Maam I'm sorry but we are about to close, you are our last customer." That seemed to get Sana out of her own thoughts.
"Oh, I see. He is not coming right?" Sana said her eyes never leaving the martini.
"I guess not. I'm sorry." Dahyun said softly.
"I hate blind dates so much, a friend of mine convinced me this was a good idea. I'm never doing this again."
"Yeah, that kind of arranged things can go bad, it's better if you actually know the person a bit previously." She stopped and then said "Plus, i
