01| Naeun’s Broken Heart

I was stupid, thinking that love starts so quickly in a moment.
Now things have fallen apart and I still thought you could love me again…
You’ve turned my whole world upside down and now you left the door,
I was left down on the floor, thinking where it all went wrong.

Picture frames and magazines, the stories you used to show,
now there was nothing in the ceiling, and traces  of you were gone,
The shadows are dancing and I was all alone,
The letters you’ve left and your sadness shone…

“Dear Naeun” It says, with the blue ink you liked
“I’m sorry for being the weaker one on us,
I tried to hold on and hold your hand,
but cracks are open and mending comes undone.”

“You were my magical fairytale, the love of my life,
the princess who came in rescue of the poor girl’s sight.
You colored my whole world upside down and you showed me the way,
but I’m afraid the magic had ended like how they say.”

“I’m saying good bye now, this is the end
Wishes and hopes were gone with the wind
Someday, somehow, I know we’ll meet again
at that time, smile for me, my dear friend.”

A single dot ended the note,
the brown parchment felt boring and cold.
I tried to hold back the tears that came with a thorn
like wilted roses outside the storm.

The empty hallways where you used to hold me tight,
the moments I thought nothing felt more righ
