A Cancer within Facebook Roleplays

Description

// NOTICE: This is most likely a rant thread but it does have advices in the end. You may leave this thread if you want. //

There's this unknown disease in facebook rps that whenever an au rp (even non-aus) becomes successful, all so suddenly a reporting spree will happen.  I am not so sure what is causing this, but I can see some obvious salt here. If you're doing that so people could go to your rp then stop. Building an rp takes lot of work and patience. RPs don't just bloom immediately. In the case for AU rps, then it really takes a lot of work since it does not usually cater to the a vast population of rpers. It's not about how large or active your members are, it's about cherishing them and making a home for them.

In other words, it is not a competition.

It's just saddening to have your rp experience ruined, and even your home, just because of a disabling spree. Everyone has been there for sure. It was facebook these past months but what about now? I think facebook has stabilized just for a bit so I don't see how a spree would just happen out of a blue.

What I'm trying to say here is let's all be mature. If you have drama within the rp, don't cause a fuzz or ruin other rpers experience that are not involve by reporting them or even the whole rp in general. Please, you can just leave the place quietly and forget about it. It's just rp anyway, right? You can find a new home if you don't feel comforable there. A lot of threads are up for you to welcome you.

As I said earlier, roleplaying is not a competition within roleplays. Who opens an rp for competition anyway? If your rp is not yet blooming, then wait. Someday it will and all your efforts will be worth it. It's just sad to see that most of the roleplays are closing down due to an unknown yet assumed reason of a disabling spree whether a roleplayer or facebook is the cause.

Please, please, please, do not ever report a person. I am speaking to every roleplayer in general especially in the facebook platform. You are smarter than you think. Don't and never stoop down to that kind of level.

I just thought of bringing this back to give a public service reminder to just have fun within roleplays and never commit a serious crime of reporting. Thank you!

[!] Mommyyyyyyyyy huhuhuhuhu.

Inguz just opened a few weeks ago. The place hasn't even lasted for a month. I don't know what happened. There's still a small part inside me that tries to believe it was Facebook's system, but I can't understand why Facebook would disable almost half of the members in the roleplay. We're reopening, but I'm certain not all of the members will rejoin. ;;;;;

three of my accounts were reported in a span of 45 days. i saved two by deactivating them after receiving words from fb saying that someone reported that i'm using a fake name , and the oldest one (from 2013) is gone. i don't understand why they do this to everyone. if you were so angry at someone for whatever reason especially their success, and you go on reporting whatever account there is on your way, know that you have a serious problem and you need your mentality checked. : )

i only join aus, and i witnessed this in every growing rp.

My successful roleplay died because of a person with so much hatred for some reason. Which is why I'm trying to stay away from FB based roleplays now. :( Not everyone has proper etiquette and brains sadly.
