I was always a little different from most other boys. I enjoyed Boy Group music, helping my mom with dinner, singing, dancing, the list goes on but I never felt ashamed, nor a need to keep my thoughts and opinions to myself, and I never wanted to change. I loved who I was. The first year of high school was when my confidence began to crumble. It started as mere admiration but it turned into my most sacred and painful secret.  But I remained optimistic and I was certain the moment would come when I would let him know how I felt. I was hopeful that everything would fall into place. 

I wish I had known better.
