Jin’s POV

The bell rung signaling that class was over. Jin took his time putting away his things as he waited for the classroom to empty and hallways to clear. Once he was finished and saw that the crowds in the hallway weren’t terrible, he slung his backpack over his shoulders and made his way out his classroom and towards the back of the building where his club activities were always held. He made it to the club room and found that the three younger kids were already there energetically talking amongst themselves.

“Good afternoon Tae, Jiminie, and Kookie.” Jin said as he walked in and took a seat on one of the bean bags that were scattered around the room.

“Afternoon hyung!” The three replied with matching grins and glistening eyes. Whatever those kids were talking about it must have been very interesting, at least for them.

“How were your classes?” Jin asked as the door to the club room opened and Hoseok along with Namjoon walked in.

“Classes were boring as usual. Seriously can’t the teachers ever give us a fun lecture?” Taehyung asked pouting as he answered Jin’s question and greeted the two that walked in.

“I swear the teachers just want to bore us to death. Please tell me that junior and senior year is more fun.” Jimin said looking towards Jin with a hopeful expression.

“Junior years kinda boring too, the classes are a bit harder maybe but other then that I can’t say I enjoy it anymore then I did sophomore year. What do you say hyung? Is senior year more fun?” Namjoon asked after supplying Jimin with an answer for what junior year was like.

“Senior year is kids, and it only gets worse as you move on.” They heard Yoongi say from the doorway as he walked in with a grumpy expression like always. If you didn’t know better, you’d think the blond haired senior didn’t want to be here.

The three youngest kids frowned at Yoongi with distraught expressions. Taehyung turned to look at Jin and asked, “Is that true?” with a sad expression.

“No, Yoongi just tends to make everything seem bleak and boring. Senior year isn’t all that bad, less classes and more free time so that’s always a good thing.” Jin answered with a shrug and small smile trying to lift the younger’s spirits. He hated to see Taehyung looking unhappy for the simple reason that he had a small crush on the younger male. Of course it wasn’t just a small crush, it was rather big...and not only that it wasn't the only crush he had. He also had a crush on Yoongi. Sadly though, he’d never admit his feelings to either of them and the only one who was aware of his crush was his best friend Namjoon.

“Well since everyone’s here let’s go ahead and start today’s club meeting?” Hoseok suggested as he moved towards the front of the room where there was a cabinet full of props.

“Yea, we need to get ready for the showcase next Wednesday, so we should squeeze in as much practice now as we possibly can.” Jimin said heading to the cabinet to help Hoseok get out the props they’d need.

Jin pulled out a script sheet from his backpack and went over his lines for the small play they’d be performing for the showcase, which was really just a talent show that the every club was participating in. You see the club these seven males had formed was essentially a performance arts club of sorts, except they’d officially named the club “Future Idols”, as that was really what they all hoped to be in the future. Despite the name, it really was a performance arts club as they tended to spend their time composing, singing, dancing, and a little bit of acting.

For the showcase Namjoon had composed a lengthy play for them to perform that would include a bunch of small dance number with one group dance near the end of it (it was supposed to be like a musical). Namjoon had tasked Yoongi with composing songs for the dance numbers and given Hoseok the honor to choreograph the dances. Jimin had helped Hoseok with the choreography while Jungkook had helped Namjoon come up with what the play should be about and lines for everyone. Taehyung and Jin had been left with the task of making costumes.

All in all they’d worked hard and within two weeks they’d finished writing up a script for the play, the song and choreographed dance, and the outfits each of them were to wear. With that completed they set to work on rehearsing and perfecting everything. They’d been doing rehearsals for a while now and were almost ready for the showcase which was right around the corner, less than a week away. Jin could hardly wait for it, he was both nervous and excited about it. They’d worked hard and he was sure they’d be great when it came time for the actual thing.

“Yoongi hyung, can we practice that fight scene again?” Jin heard Taehyung ask Yoongi. Yoongi nodded and grabbed the toy swords that Jimin had set out, handing one to Taehyung. The two began to rehearse the scene while the others watched or rehearsed their own scenes with the other members.

Jin kept his eyes trained on Yoongi and Taehyung, a little envious of their scene together. Though he really shouldn’t be since he had plenty of scenes where he was with both or at least one of them. Honestly, Jin should thank Namjoon for what the younger had done. Namjoon had clearly given Jin the lead role of being the love interest of his two crushes to help him out. Namjoon wanted Jin to confess and this was his way of encouraging him on.

The story Namjoon had come up with was...unconventional to say the least. It starred a handsome prince, Jin, who was loved by everyone in his kingdom. Prince Jin was now at the age to get married and had to choose between two marriage proposals. Yoongi was marriage proposal number one, his character being a loyal knight and friend to Prince Jin. Taehyung was marriage proposal number two, a prince from another land who wanted to marry for the sake of their two kingdoms prosperity. And so Jin’s character had many romantic scenes with both boys. But you see, the twist here was that Yoongi and Taehyung’s character would also end up falling for each other as well as Jin’s character. So in essence it would be a love triangle (much like his love already was) and would end with the three of them marrying each other.

Jin was grateful for the scenes he had with the two younger males, but at certain times he was upset by it. They’d gotten to the point where all of them were immersed in their roles and so sometimes….well sometimes it felt real. The scripted words he’d hear from Taehyung and Yoongi would make his heart flutter and skip a beat, because it sounded almost like they really meant them. The words he was supposed to say to them also held a little too much truth to them, and so it hurt that he knew that the scenes they were acting weren’t real. And what hurt even more was the fact that the scenes that Yoongi and Taehyung would perform in also felt real… like the love that was supposed to be brewing between them was real. When he saw them acting together he would feel his heart throb in pain because of how real the love between Yoongi and Taehyung looked. All in all, being the lead role with his two crushes was both a blessing and a curse.

Yoongi’s POV

Practicing with Taehyung made Yoongi feel queasy inside. He couldn’t help but admire how much Taehyung shone when he was acting. Taehyung was always serious and dedicated to staying in character, his acting almost flawless as soon as he’d learned all his lines. Yoongi couldn’t help but be a little starstruck, not that he would tell Taehyung that anytime soon. No, there was no way Min Yoongi would admit his little crush for the younger bright eyed, chestnut brown haired male. That was beyond his non existent social capabilities, thank you very much.

So Yoongi forced himself to remain calm while acting his scenes with Taehyung, especially the romantic ones. He’d school his expressions to fit his character’s role and not reveal how much the character he was supposed to portray, reflect his own feelings and thoughts. He wasn’t sure how he was doing on that front, but Taehyung hadn’t questioned him about it, so he assumed he was doing ok at keeping his feelings to himself even when scenes like this one, where their faces were only two inches apart, occurred.

“Yoongi hyung, you do realize we’re supposed to almost accidently kiss in this scene right? That means you gotta be even closer to me.” Taehyung whined as he looked at Yoongi with a pout from behind his sword.

“Well we agreed to not kiss so I’m keeping the distance, deal with it.” Yoongi grumbled pulling farther back from Taehyung’s face. Taehyung sighed and shook his head turning towards the eldest in their group and complaining about Yoongi.

“Jinnie hyung! Yoongi isn’t doing this scene correctly!” Taehyung complained folding his arms across his chest and acting much like the child he was. Normally this would irritate Yoongi, but for some reason whenever Taehyung acted childish he found it cute. Cute! He didn’t even know how that was possible!

“Yoongi play your role properly before I beat your for costing us first place.” Jin said dismissively as he glanced over at them for a few seconds and then returned to his own work which consisted of dance practice with Hoseok.

Yoongi frowned as he got distracted by the way Hoseok was putting his hands all over Jin, moving him this way and that so that Jin could learn the dance. Yoongi hated it, he didn’t like how close Hoseok was t
