There had been no doubt that the Gods were smiling and Hyemin wanted nothing more than to jump out of her chair and do the little victory dance. The rating of Choices has done very well this month, and on the year after it was conceived (yes, she thinks of her programs as her babies), it is one of the most tuned into programs and the big shots in the admin had decided to extend her program from half an hour to an hour. Not only that, they were also going to give her more scopt, allowing her to have her own outdoor crew and broadcast van rather than a mere studio production.

Not only that, they've also decided to shift the time slot of her show to 9:00pm instead of the usualy 6:00pm. This was a big deal because nine o'clock meant more viewers, particularly since most people would already be back from work and would have finished dinner. Nine is the "primetime" and everyone knows that to land a slot for nine o'clock meant that the company was really putting its trust on you. Though her show as one of the lesser channel, she was all grins anyway. This is a step up and Hyemin was going to seize this opportunity to show what she can do.

Leaving the conference room, she was barely able to contain the skip in her step and the big smile on her face. Of course, the smile might have lasted a lot longer if she didn't bump into Kai along the way. 

The smile didn't leave her face ofcourse, she had long learned to separate work from personal feelings. That didn't take away the fact the smile was no longer genuine.

"I heard the good news," he grinned.

"They gave you the primetime slot didn't they?"

"Yup."

"I never doubted you, you are meant to move on to do bigger and better things." He said, winking at her before continuing on his way.

Hyemin watched his departing back for a moment then shook her head, almost ruefully, to herself. 'Bigger and better things huh?' Well she had always known that, and she definately didn't need him to tell her that.

As she walked walked into her own department's office, her staff stood up appauding. Apprently someone had called ahead and told them of the news. Hyemin could feel the initial stiffness in her shoulders slowly ebb away. Seriously, what had she been so stressed out about anyways?

"Congratulations!" Baekhyun said, coming up to her and giver her a good natured punch on the shoulder. She laughed in return before turning to look at her staff.
