It was rumored that Cho Kyuhyun carried a picture of the woman he secretly liked.

Of course, he furiously denied that fact saying that he didn’t have anyone he liked. Most people, including the members of Super Junior, decided to believe the maknae and brushed off the rumor like it was nothing.

That is until Choi Sooyoung found Kyuhyun smiling at a picture backstage after a concert.

“Ah-ha! So the rumors are true!” she exclaimed, running towards the older man. Kyuhyun jumped in surprise, shoving the picture inside his jacket. He spun around trying to seem as if he wasn’t just caught doing something illegal.

“S-Sooyoung-sshi!” he stuttered, standing stiff, his hands firmly at his sides. “W-What are you doing here?”

Sooyoung shook her head playfully. “Nu-uh, now you have to tell me who’s the person on that picture,” she said excitedly, pushing her face closer to his.

Kyuhyun coughed, turning his head. “It’s my family,” he squeaked, his voice slightly cracking. He tried to avoid any eye contact with the tall girl and he mentally cursed when he heard the crack in his voice.

“Yah, Kyuhyun-ah!” she whined, slapping his shoulder. “I know that you’re lying. Now tell me, who’s the girl?”

Kyuhyun glanced past Sooyoung to try and find a way to escape. He sighed, making her look up in anticipation. “Don’t look so hopeful. Why should I tell you anything?”

Sooyoung smiled, giving him a ‘you-know-you-want-to-tell-me’ smile. “Because I’m your very good friend?”

“Annoying,” he muttered, ready to get away from the girl. Sooyoung wouldn’t have any of that and blocked his path. “Yah, babo, move.”

Sooyoung pouted, brushing her long tresses away from her face. “Oppa~” she said sweetly, batting her eyelashes. Kyuhyun rolled his eyes, shoving her face away from him with his hand.

“Your aegyo doesn’t work on me,” he said, walking past her.

Sooyoung whined again, stomping her feet. “I’ll find out who it is Cho Kyuhyun! Mark my words!”

And she did just that.

Every day since that incident, Sooyoung would bug Kyuhyun non-stop. She would visit during his Super Junior’s rehearsals, his lunch breaks, and even at his dorm. She bothered him non-stop and barely gave him alone time. Hell, she even bothered him during Starcraft!

“Since when were you and Sooyoung close?” Sungmin asked one day after rehearsal. All of the guys looked at Kyuhyun waiting for a response.

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes at his hyung’s question. ”Aish…so annoying,” he mumbled, ruffling his hair. “I’m thinking about changing my number because of that woman!” he exclaimed in frustration.

“Why does she keep bothering you anyway?” Shindong asked, curiously.

“Nothing” he muttered, into his arm. There was no way he’d tell them about the picture…

Suddenly, as if she knew they were talking about her, Sooyoung busted open the door. “Annyoung!” she greeted cheerfully.

Leeteuk smiled with amusement at Kyuhyun’s annoyed expression. It was interesting to see their evil maknae troubled. “Annyoung, Sooyoung-sshi. What brings you here today?” he asked even though he knew her answer.

Sooyoung’s eyes zeroed in on her target and smirked. She had a new tactic to trick the man on telling her who was on that picture. “Oh Kyuhyunie~” she sang evilly. The man in question looked up at her with exasperation. Her sinister grin widened. “I know who’s on that picture~”

Kyuhyun felt his heart stop at Sooyoung’s words. “WHAT?” he yelped, jumping up, his face flushing a nice shade of red. He unconsciously placed his hand in his pocket, as if he was trying to shield something to everyone in the room.

Sooyoung smirked. She honestly didn’t think he’d believe her. “It makes it a lot easier for me,” she thought and continued speaking.

“Yeah, so you don’t have to hide it anymore,” she paused, giving him an award worthy, “genuine” smile. “He’ll forgive me eventually for lying to him anyway.”

“R-Really?” he stuttered, afraid to look at Sooyoung’s face. “You know?” he timidly glanced down at her.

Meanwhile the rest of Super Junior watched in amazement at Kyuhyun’s sudden shyness.

Sooyoung blinked and giggled mentally. “He looks so cute…” She nodded and continued to press on with her act. “Yeah, so you can show it to me.” She tried to put the act of a warm and caring person, trying to coax him into showing her who was on that picture.

Kyuhyun hesitated, before slowly reaching into his pocket. His hyungs and Sooyoung watched in anticipation as Kyuhyun handed the photo face down to the girl. He immediately stepped back and looked away as she flipped it over.

Sooyoung’s eyes grew wide and her cheeks flared up once she inspected the picture. She stared at the flustered boy who refused to look at her “W-what is this?” she asked embarrassed.

Kyuhyun finally looked at her and blinked in confusion. “Didn’t you say you knew?”

Sooyoung shook her head clutching the photo as her face became as red as a tomato. “I-I was just playing with you!”

Kyuhyun stared at Sooyoung completely and utterly mortified. He was so embarrassed that he just wanted to crawl into a hole and die. “What? Y-you tricked me?”

An awkward silenced covered the practice room as the other members of Super Junior seemed to be forgotten. Curiosity (and slight annoyance) got the best of them when Heechul, ever the diva, yelled, “Who the hell is in that picture?”

Sooyoung and Kyuhyun jumped in surprise at Heechul’s sudden outburst. Kyuhyun glanced at Sooyoung, who this time was afraid to meet his eyes. He sighed, slowly walking towards her.

“Sooyoung-ah,” he said, making her look up. He gave her an awkward, crooked smile. “Uh, so yeah, I just wanted to say, yes, the rumors were true. Um, and I-I like you.”

Completely shocked at their maknae’s sudden confession, the members of Super Junior whistled and walloped in joy. Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Shindong whistled loudly while Ryeowook and Leeteuk hugged each other in happiness like proud parents. Heechul, Siwon and Yesung  all smirked knowingly, clapping their hands as Sungmin screamed at the top of his lungs “I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!”

Sooyoung’s eyes widened as Kyuhyun shuffled around nervously waiting for her answer. Her heartbeat quickened seeing him act all shy and nervous over her. She laughed, closing the distance between the two of them. She grabbed his head and gently placed her lips over his causing his band mates’ cheers to grow louder.

The photo in her hand gently fluttered to the floor in the process of kissing him. It was a candid picture of Sooyoung smiling gently; one she knew that Kyuhyun took himself.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed my one-shot! Again, I apologize if the story itself wasn’t good. I wrote it in study hall (which was only 40 minutes)

Anyway, since I think that the influx of Kyuyoung stories existing/updating isn’t fast enough, I had to resort to looking for stories to quench my shipper heart on different websites. And I wanted to share to you a story that I absolutely thought was great on a livejournal.

It’s called The birth of Kyuyoung and it’s about when Super Junior did Gee in SS2 and it’s what I really wished what had happened hahaha.
