The dream always began the same. There was light from above; rays shining down through the ripples in the water. There was sound, like a constant hum of voices, but it was muted. And most importantly, there was her, above the surface of the water, close enough that all of the details of her face were in plain sight. The slight upturn of her button nose, the soft pink color of her lips, her almond eyes wide with concern behind a pair of round-rimmed glasses. You tried to swim to her, call her name—a name you called so many times before—but there was something pulling at your ankle, dragging you further into the depths of the water. You looked down and saw only blackness beneath you, endlessly. You screamed, but the sound traveled nowhere, lost under the surface. Water filled your lungs as the image of her drifted further and further away.

Hey guys! There seemed to be a pretty positive response to my first fic, Through the Night, so I decided to write a continuation of it.

Each chapter is a oneshot from a different character's perspective.
