Dara's knees weakened and her whole body shook as the situation finally dawned on her. The little piece of paper pathetically fell on the floor as her hands lost all her strength.
"She left." Two words that literally and inevitably shook her world. She can't even think straight. Funny that all her problems this morning was how to successfully throw the first party in her house, but all those things went down the drain as she uttered those two words.
"What do you mean she left?" Dara took the paper and handed it to Jiyong who's still carrying the baby in front of him with the baby strap.
I chose you because I knew in my heart that you will be able to support and take care of my son. I just want you to know that I would never do this if I'm just not really desperate. I know that I'm a really selfish and irresponsible mother for doing this, but I am doing this for him and our future. I love him with every being of me, and I hope that you'll love him even a tiny fraction of my love. Just remember that I will be back for him someday. I will surely come back for my baby, for a mother can't part with her child for a really long time.
"What the?" The man cursed as he finally read the last few lines of the letter. How is this even possible? She said she loves her son, but she just left him with a stranger without even batting an eye? Is that even love?
"Yeah right. What should we do? Should we go and bring him to the management?" Dara suggested after a few seconds when she noticed the man getting silent.
"We can bring him to the management and they'll just bring him to our overpopulated orphanages once they know about the situation." He sighed, his voice strained like he is holding himself back. "The baby doesn't need someone who'll just feed him when he's hungry or clothe him just to prevent him being ." He slowly said while massaging his temples. He seemed to be in a real deep thought. How could so many things happen in a day?
"So are you saying that-?" Dara trailed off as she had her own thoughts but she wanted to hearnit from his own words.
"We should keep the baby. The mother trusted you, me, - us, and I don't want to break that one." He said solemnly with determination laced in his voice. He may be struggling right now, but he doesn't want to end the day by throwing some baby into some methopharical hellhole.
"Should we really?"
"We should."

After a while, they decided to eat lunch together and yeah somehow, the doubts started filling in.
"Are you sure we can do this? I'm quite out of budget lately." He asked while holding the baby tightly on his lap. They gave him the baby bottle which they saw from the bag earlier and he still seemed hungry.
"I think we should still think this through. I'm quite feeling responsible since the woman directly gave him to me and you just sort of entered the picture." Dara exhaled while wiping the baby's drool dripping from his mouth. "And don't worry, I have money. I just don't know how to handle kids."
"I don't have money but I know how to handle kids." He countered.
"Will this work? A baby is not just a toy you know..." She seriously muttered. She's a single woman with no boyfriend or anything and then all of a sudden a baby comes in to the picture! Imagine.
"I know..." After a moment of silence, he decided to break it with a cough. "By the way, the papers said that his name is Song Mino, and he is currently in his seventh month."
"Mino? That's cute." Dara giggled and pinched his chubby cheeks. The baby also let out a soft chuckle and that seemed to lighten the atmosphere. Her phone beeped and the message seemed to successfully throw her back t
