before i begin, i sincerely apologize to all the participants and readers who had to wait a long time to finally get the results. i have excuses but they aren't very valid ones, so again... i apologize for prolonging this contest!

a/n: to be quite honest, i wasn't sure if this was how you usually wrote the dialogue or if it was simply for a unique aesthetic... but either way, the story won my heart. i was still impressed with how you ended it, so congratulations for getting an honorable mention! i, of course, appreciate a complicated and long thought out story, but sometimes... i crave simplicity just as well. and your story was just that. adding onto that note, i have to say the plot twist was very much appreciated! i was so keen on thinking this was going to have another similar ending as the hunger games, but the ending caught me off guard in a good way! thank you for writing this, i enjoyed it quite a lot. congratulations for getting an honorable mention.

a/n: this was actually the very first entry i've read and it absolutely blew me away. you write such complicated characters but in such a beautiful way. namjoon and seokjin aren't your typical 2-d characters; you've made them complex and more human. the ending was sort of expected since i figured it wasn't going to end well, especially with yoongi and his dark past, but i didn't expect it to end like that! what a nice plot twist! thank you for writing this dark-themed story, i appreciate it! congratulations for getting an honorable mention.

a/n: first off, ongiel!! my first ongiel fic wow i was so excited to read this one! and second, the ending. the freaking ending! to be honest, i pretty much expected that since you hinted it with the "... he'll do anything to get what he wants." but it still got me teary-eyed, nonetheless. i actually had a small clutch of hope that the two would get in, but i'm also glad you didn't end it in such a cliche, happy way but that it was bittersweet becase it's real life. also, the last part how you incorporated the title was weaved in so beautifully and it fits so well with this story. i'm so glad this was my first experience reading a wanna one fic! thank you, and congratulations to winning third place!
