Foreword

In the realm of Afterlife, the pair of young lovers were watching the visions from celestial lake, smiling at So and Soo's young daughter.

"Aww, just look at her! Isn't she adorable?" Eun smiled widely.

"Oh look, she's playing tags with her brothers!" Soon-Duk squealed in delight.

Soon, many gone but unforgotten ones joined in. Woo-Hee looked at the vision of her friend's daughter and smiled brightly. Court Lady Oh and Myung-Hee watches with warm smile as Seol giggles when Jung came cuddled his adoptive daughter. Chae-Ryung recalled how Seol's behaviors reminded her of her former lady Hae Soo. King Taejo glanced and realizes some of his granddaughter's features were inherited by her biological father Wang So.

"Ah, I see brother So." Eun spoke.

Hearing that, they all looked at the lake that reveals the view of Gwangjong walking outside the Cheondukjeon dismissed Queen Daemok and her son Ju with cruel glare. Queen Yoo remembered the first time So had told poor Ju when the boy expressed his questions why the king never cared about him.

"I'm still a ruler before a father," Gwangjong said once, his cold eyes pierced eyes, "you are the disgrace, indignity, and a flaw produced by your mother and her family."

Queen Yoo reminded how his behaviors slowly grew to become same as her own. When Gwangjong walked alone and Seol saw him, his cold look quickly replaced with warmth and affection.

"Hello, Seol." He greeted in sweet tone.

Seol hurried and bowed. He chuckled at her rather cute demeanor and patted her head. When the king went back to his chamber, Seol quietly walked to Lake Dongji where Ju stood alone. It was obvious to all from Afterlife that Seol and Ju developed a secret friendship. She walked and greeted Ju who was rubbing his teary eyes.

"Poor Ju...," Eun said in sad tone, "he's a nice little boy."

Myung-Hee smiled as she saw Seol approached to Ju. The little girl asked him if he was alright and he nodded his head, lying. Knowing his true feelings, Seol grabbed both of his hands with good-natured smile.

"You've gone through so much...it's okay to be honest when I'm here with you."

As Ju released his tears, Seol hugged the boy comforting him. This caused Mu, Eun, Soon-Duk, Woo-Hee, Chae-Ryung, and Myung-Hee awwed at them. Court Lady Oh seemed worried for Seol as King Taejo saw the girl with scrutinizing eyes. For a second, the old king sensed the aura of mysterious yet powerful light in his granddaughter, predicting she will bring such bigger influence to a fragile crown prince.
