Chapter One

Counting Stars

Ever since I was a little boy, I've always had a crazy imagination. Volcanoes erupted in the middle of the living room, pirates came to fight for there gold, witches came all year around not just Halloween. I wasn't the smartest kid but I know I was the most creative, and it showed through my art and my love for writing. Ever since I was young I was diagnosed with a voice problem so I've been mute my whole life leaving me to stay home-schooled it was great. My mom was my teacher; my dad was my coach. It was quite nice. I didn't have many friends but I did have this one friend. We hung out every day all day up until it was time to go to bed his name was Jung Hoseok. He was a great kid, he was very talkative and understood everything even when I don't have to say anything he just understood, and I loved it. He's been my best friend up until I turned thirteen, ever since he quit coming over and my days became boring and uneventful, I never knew what happened or where he went, he just left.

"Jimin~" My mother spoke as she walked in my dark lit room as she drew the curtains smiling widely as she sat on my bed ruffling my brown hair in her soft silky hands that felt like heaven, I responded with a groan but it was soon replaced by a small smile looking up at her

"Someone turned sixteen today" she added as my eyes widened sitting up smiling widely as she hugged me tightly as she kept her hand in my hair taking out the knots, "Get dressed" she added and smiled before standing kissing my forehead and leaving to the kitchen. After I got dressed I walked down the large staircase as the smell of pancakes and bacon entered my nose as I smiled closing my eyes humming to myself

"Good morning my birthday boy," My mom said smiling kissing my head before my dad pulled me into a side hug

        "Morning sport"

I smiled as I sat down at the island taking a drink of the orange juice that sat in front of me, I was looking at the patterns in the mat as I was hearing my mom speak about the news to my dad before her voice became distant

"Its the prince! It's his birthday today everyone needs to hurry and make his cake" Taehyung said as he smiled going around the room fixing stuff and going to the kitchen smiling at seokjin and at his wonderful creation on the stove.

I walked in smiling wide "Hello Taehyung!"

Taehyung's eyes widened "Prince Jimin! you're early! how are you this fine day birthday boy"

I smiled as I sat at the large table that held all my other friends, I loved them so much. I wouldn't have asked for better friends.

"Is there anything you would like for your very special day I'm sure you'd want something?" She said as I smiled before shaking my head "I have everything I need" I said even though I know I'm lying, I want Hoseok to come back. I've wanted him to come back ever since he left when I was thirteen, but I wasn't going to say that.

"You must want something!" The sleepy boy named Yoongi said as he was sat by Taehyung and I shook my head

"No" I laughed shaking my head

        "Jimin" Taehyung said

"Jimin," he said again as he sounded more like my mother

        "Jimin"

I shook my head looking around seeing my mom with my birthday breakfast in front of me, I gave her a smile before I started eating softly grinning as I thought of the friend I lost long ago.

        Where did he go?
