02. guilt & reminiscence

It’s been 3 days since it happened.

Mina has been staring at the ceiling for how long she can't remember as millions of thoughts crash through her head. Images of that night keep on replaying themselves whenever she closes her eyes, as if they are just casually reminding (more like torturing) her about her betrayal of Nayeon. 

It’s true that they’ve been fighting a lot throughout the summer and aren’t actually talking for the past 2 weeks, regarding that Nayeon is currently in New York for her internship (long-distance relationship’s norms, you know). It’s also true that Mina’s been a little lonely and stressed out with their daily arguments and her university application deadlines but they've gone through tons of worst s* before (and still managed to stay together) so those excuses aren't even worth considered valid. 

Mina loves Nayeon; she can swear her life on it. She literally can't find a single reason for her to cheat on her; actually, she’s never imagined herself to be even capable of it, not yet talking about finding an explanation for what she did. And she hates herself for that, not being able to find an answer for her actions, and also for feeling too much when it happened.
