Chapter 1
Memory Lane: Maybe It's BetterI walk through the halls of my house that I’ve lived in for years and what was once a home filled with furniture and ornaments, was now replaced with dust and memories. I head to my old room and walk past the people moving my bed to the van. I go into my old room and look around and try to see if I can remember where everything was. I move on to my closet, and I see a book. Oh! It’s my high school yearbook! Even more memories to look at, I tell myself. I open the yearbook and smile as I see all the people I used to talk to.
“Tzuyu!”
I hear my mom call out my name.
“We’re leaving soon, did you get everything?”
“Yeah mom, everything is ready!”
I continue to look through the yearbook and flip through the pages. I look past all my friends and suddenly I come across her picture. I can feel my heart ache a little, as I start to stroll down memory lane.
RRRRRIIIIING
The lunch bell rings loud and it’s time to clean up and head to class. Freshman year, my best friend Dahyun and I toss our trash and start heading to class. As we’re walking, I see her in the distance. Son Chaeyoung. I had never actually talked to her before, but she was friends with my friends so I kinda knew who she was.
“Ahhh man Chaeyoung is just so pretty.” I tell Dahyun.
“I know right, honestly I’d date Chaeyoung she’s kinda perfect.”
“I’d totally date her before you ever had a chance.”
“Ha you wish!”
We continue back and forth as we head to class. Time flies, and soon enough school ends and we head to our lockers.
“Any plans for this weekend Tzuyu?” Dahyun asks.
“I’m free Saturday, but I’m going to a family friend’s house with my mom on Sunday. Do you have any?”
“Ahh man, I’m busy Saturday and I wanted to see if you wanted to do something on Sunday, but it looks like I’m staying home.“
“Oh I see, yeah I can’t sorry.”
“Well you have fun, see you Monday then!”
Sunday rolls around, I’m with my mom at her friend’s house and her friend’s kids are running around having fun being loud, they’re cute but, I kind of get annoyed from all the noise so I head upstairs and go on my phone, if they were puppies that might’ve been a different story. I open up Facebook
