“I wear this red dress to captivate you, so, what do you think

of me now?, didn’t I changed a little?”

He always calling me “dongsaeng-ah..uri Sooyoung-ie..” our only 3 years, but he always treat me like a choding, today as I graduated from high school, I want him to noticed me as a girl not just a kid. So here I’m, standing in front of a lot of people who come to my party tonight, wearing red dress that I hope can captivate him. He is there too, with my cousin and his mother,

“It’s just a simple birthday party, why you are dressing like that?,” my mom said to me, when I’m looking around, yes, the guest who come to the party wearing casual clothes, but I’m center tonight, so it’s not so wrong that I’m wearing this red dress,

“Thank you for coming to this simple party, I hope all of you enjoy it,” I said then the DJ start the music, the DJ is my friend from middle school, he said that he’ll DJing at my party as his gift for me. Then someone come to me, but unfortunately that he isn’t someone who I hope come to me right now,

“Why?,” I asked, “do you enjoy the party?.”

“It’s just start, but I can enjoy it more if you with me,” he said, he is my friend who come from the same high school as me, “let’s go there, ” he is pointing to an empty table,

“Where are the other?,” I asked not long after sitting, “why are you alone here?.”

“I want to spending some time with you, before I go far away tomorrow,” he said. Yes, he’ll go to England tomorrow, he’ll continue his study there, then why spending it with me, why not the other,

“Then why just me?,” I asked, because I’m purely not knowing his reason.

“Just because, I want to be with you, before I can’t do it, ” he said, ut I’m still clueless, “ah..must I say it?, I don’t want to confess but after that I leave you,” he said, “I liked you, ah..still like you, ” he said, she is starring at him awkwardly, “why are you looking at me like that?,” he asked.

“Just because…don’t you know that I already like someone else?,” she asked, he nodded, “then why you confesed to me just now?,” she asked.

“I just want to do it, you don’t have to answer my confession,” he said, but Sooyoung looking at him with sad eyes,  “don’t look at me with those kind of eyes, I hate it,” he said, then someone calling her,

“Yah..Park Sooyoung,” he come to them, “you are the one who invited your friends but you leave them,” he said. That someone who Sooyoung has crush on is him, Lee Seohyuk.

“Hmm..I’ll be there,” she said, but then Seohyuk waving his hand to her friend, “do you know him?,” she asked to him.

“Hmm..I know him, we meet each other after , right, Yook Sungjae?,” he said, Sungjae nodding and giving him a simple smile, “ah…I want to introduce you to someone,” he said to Sooyoung while leaving Sungjae, “I hope you like her,” he said.

“Her?,” she asked him, he just smile to her, “I have a bad feeling about this,” she said in a low voice.

Here she come, someone that Seohyuk talk about. She greet them with smily face, but it’s make Sooyoung became more uncomfortable,

“Are you Park Sooyoung?,” she aksed, Sooyoung nodding but look clueless, how did she know my name?, “Seohyuk always told me anything about you, a girl that always play with him since he was young,” she said, “he said that you don’t look feminme, but I think you look really feminme right now, with that red dress,” she said.

“Sorry, but..who are you?, how did you know me?,” Sooyoung finally asked her.

“Ah..sorry, I talked too much,” she said, “I’m Yook Sunghee, Lee Seohyuk’s girlfriend,” after heard that, her leg became weak, Sungjae looking at them from far,

“So, is she the gift you are talking about?,” she asked to Seohyuk, Seohyuk nodding, “wah.. I thought it would be something that can make me smile, then..enjoy the party..I’ll leave both of you,” she said, she is holding her tears, then running away from them, Sunghee looking at her,

“Oppa, isn’t this too much for her?, you know that she like you, right?,” she asked.

“And, you know that I couldn’t hide the fact that I already have someone,” he said, “it’s okay, she’ll be alright,” he said, but he look worried though.

While Sooyoung running, far away from the crowd, Sungjae following her from behind,

“Do you want me to accompany you?, I think you need..,” he couldn’t finish his words because Sooyoung turn her face, her crying face then say,

“I want to be alone right now, so leave me,” she said, but even after heard that, he is walking closer to her then rubbing her back, “I said leave me alone,” she said again, but then she cry even harder,

“It’s your birthday party, how can you cry like this?,” he said.

“Why he bring her here?, why he bring her to my party?, I feel like fool, wearing this red dress to captivate him, but then..he has a girlfriend,” she said, then looking at Sungjae, “wait…Yook Sungjae, Yook Sunghee, could it be?,” she said, “is she..,” she couldn’t continue her words,

“Hmm..she is my sister, I meet that hyung last week, I just know it too that he is dating my sister,” he said then slowly wiping her tears, but then she avoid it, “you must back to the party, although you didn’t succesed to captivate him, you successes captivate someone else,” he said, Sooyoung looking at him, he give her tissue, “wipe those tears, don’t show it that you just heard bad news, for your friends who come to your party,” he said then leave her then goes to the couple, his sister greet him first, “you really come here?,” he said.

“I have to do that so she will move on from me,” Seohyuk said, Sungjae turn his face to him,

“You can do that, but not today. You make bad memory for her in her birthday party,” he said, “you can introduce her to Sooyoung, but not today. You should know that today isn’t a good day to told her about this news. You said you want her to move on from you, but you did this in her precious day, do you think she will forget you complately?,” he said, he look mad to him.       

“I’m sorry,” Sunghee said, “I’ll apologize to her after this,” she said

“No need to do that, just let her spent her birthday party happily,” then leave them.

“Is he close to Sooyoung?, or does he like Sooyoung?,” Seohyuk asked to Sunghee,

“You can tell from his face when he get angry because we almost ruin her party and make her sad. I think he really like her,” she replied.

Sooyoung trying to show the happy face, but Sungjae know that she isn’t that happy now. When all of the guest singing happy birthday for her she is trying to smile,

“What’s wrong with that face?,” her mom asked when she is cutting the cake,

“There is nothing wrong,” she said then give the first cake to her mom. After party, when half of the guest already go home, some of her friends from high school still there, they want to have small reunion they just graduated a month ago,

“I heard you’ll going to London next week,” a friend asking Sungjae who sit in front of Sooyoung,

“Hmm..I’ll go next week,” he said then take a glass of juice,

“Aren’t you uncomfortable wearing that red dress,” a friend told Sooyoung,

“Ah..it’s okay, how was the party?,” she asked, her friends replied it with farious answer, “Sungjae-yah, considere it as our good bye party for you, ” she said, the other agree.

“Why good bye?, I’ll be back, someday,” he said while looking at Sooyoung. An hour later, her friends go home, but Sungjae still there, he said he want to spent some time with her,

“Why?, you want to apologize to me?,” she aksed.

“Apologize?, did I do something wrong to you?,” he asked her back, “ah..about knowing that your crush having a girlfriend?,” then she is nodding, “do you want me to apologize to you?,” he asked.

“No, just let it go. I just want to let it go, although I feel hurt, but I want to let it go,” then she is looking at her dress, “why I’m choosing this dress then?, I should dressing more simple,” she said.

“It’s look good on you, red dress. You were the center of the night, so it’s okay wearing such dress,” he said.

“I’m wearing it with different reason though, not just because I were the center of the party, but because of him, I want to let him know that I’m not little girl anymore,” she said.

“You aren’t little girl anymore, everyone know that by just looking at you,” he said, “don’t worry, you have captivated someone else heart,” then he is looking at the sky because he feel embarrassed by his own words.

“Someone else?, you?,” then smiling, “do you really like me?,” she asked.

“You still couldn’t believe what I said, or you want to hear I say those words again?,” he .

“Then don’t answer it,” she said, he is nodding while still staring at her, he give her a kiss on her lips make her frozen, she still couldn’t move her body until she hared his words,

“I hope you won’t answer me know,” he said, “come to airport next week, wearing something that I like, I’ll wait for you there,” he said.

“If my answer is yes, then we’ll have long distance relationship?,” she asked.

“You already think that far, we’ll have fun, although it’s long distance relationship,” he said, “I like red dress, but not that dress,” he said while pointing at her dress then waving his hand to her.

“But I hate long distance relationship,” she said, “if my answer is yes, then it’ll look like I’m using you to move on from Seohyuk oppa,” she said, “ah..why he suddenly kiss me on lips,” she said then touching her lips.

Today, he’ll leave Korea to London, he is still waiting for someone there with his parent just go home, but his sister still there with her boyfriend,

“If both of you here, I think she won’t come, just go..,” he said, then they leave him after his sister hugging him, “hyung, if she really say yes to me, even if I’m not with her don’t you dare to get close to her,” he said, Seohyuk just smiling when heard that,

“I already have your sister, I won’t do that,” he said then they really leave him.

Not long after that, someone come wearing red T-shirt, Sungjae smile after see her,

“I told you to come wearing red dress, right?, why are you wearing T-shirt,” he .

“The important thing is, I’m coming wearing something red,” she said then pouting, “that was the only red dress I have, but you said you hate that red dress, so I’m wearing this,” she explain it to him, he still looking at her while smiling,

“Then, what’s your answer?,” he asked, “yes or no.”

“I’m coming to you, right?, then isn’t that an answer?,” she said.

“Then what’s the answer…,” he still teasing her.

“Aishh…then if my answer is no, I won’t come here wearing this red T-shirt, right?,” after heard that, Sungjae giggling, “at first, I’m afraid that it’ll look I’m using you to moving on, but..”

“Just use me then, I’m okay with that,” he said, “although we couldn’t meet often, ” he said then walking closer to her, “Ahh..it’s really a pity, because I’ll leave you in our first day. Should I cancel to go there today and having date with you?,” he asked, Sooyoung just answer that with smile, then Sungjae hugging her, “I’ll be back..so, wait for me, because I have girlfriend here, I should come to Korea often,” he said then rubbing her head, “shouldn’t you hug me too?,” he said, because Sooyoung just frozen, then she hug him too,

“I’ll wait for you, just come when you miss me,” she said.

“Then I’ll come everyday,” he said, “because I’ll miss you everyday.”

“You really like saying those kind of words, Yook Sungjae..,” she said then hitting his back softly, “don’t cheating on me there,” she said.

“Wah..what’s with those words?,” he said, “I’m the one who is waiting for you for years eventhough I know that you like someone else, shouldn’t I be the one who said that?,” he asked.

“I won’t, eventhough I don’t know how much I like you, I won’t cheat on you,” she said, Sungjae just smiling, “just call me often,” she said.

“Hmmm…I’ll,” then tighten his hug.
