Just a question?.

Description

A few questions regarding taste in roleplays.
It'd be nice if you took time to answer - if not, that's totally okay.
Thank you.

Foreword

Personally I wanted to figure out what type of roleplays people usually go for.
If you could answer these questions in the comments below it'd be really helpful.

- What medium do you typically like the roleplay to be through? (i.e: tumblr, facebook, aff, kik. etc. etc.)
- Do you like the roleplay to be AU? Or do you prefer Non-AU?
- If you said you like AU roleplays; what type do you enjoy?
- What are some deciding factors/criteria you look at before joining a roleplay?

facebook
either but currently it's au rps only
city, school/university and sometimes supernatural
it usually depends on the theme of the roleplay, whether or not the place looks like to be the type of place i'm looking for. also the rules and character availability plays factors into making my decisions.

Instagram, aff, facebook I've tried line but mostly didn't like it do to very heavy bias/ face chasers if you aren't a popular mainstream face claim then you aren't accepted in the group I feel.
I generally prefer non au just because you don't necessarily have to take up much time plotting and everything however, au can be good as well it all really depends.
I really like school au, master slave au, medical hospital au roleplays, matchmaking
a lot of important factors, for example I really like it when people are interactive with you and welcoming they comment on your pictures and good admins who are friendly and take the time to greet even when there is a whole bunch of people, i usually join roleplays who last more than a month and are active which is rare, and I'm not picky so I'll usually join new ones as well. I really hate roleplays who have serious face chasers and admins who are face chasers themselves, especially since I don't normally roleplay mainstream people. So when I actually find a place that is friendly and unbiased I'm there for the long run. The sad part is that, there aren't many like these now a days.

: Kik, Facebook, Instagram. In that order, at the moment. :)
: I only do AU on FB, while on kik or IG, I am open to either AU or non-AU.
: A wide variety. Mostly supernatural, fantasy, pirate, multi-au, hybrid, a/b/o!verses, entertainment, match making, etc.
: The vibe of the admins is one of the absolute most important things to me; no holier than thou or demeaning attitudes, please. Next comes the overall theme of the roleplay, the apparent 'clique-y-ness' of the roleplay (or hopefully, lack thereof), the literacy, and the masterlist of course. Another important factor is how much effort the admins put into the roleplay; are there events? Are they well thought out? That sort of thing.

HOPE I HELPED A BIT. OUO

1. Facebook & instagram. Tried twitter, tumblr and line, didn't like them.
2. I'm all for aus. Non aus are boring for me.
3. College au, city and job au, apartment au, school au. Those with slice of life aus, I never liked fantasy, fairytales and so on. They're too good for me.
4. I'd only go for facebook and instagram as stated, the newly formed roleplays captivate me better, the theme, the rules, the muses available, the name of the roleplay and the efforts put in the layouts.

hope this helps. : )

1. Only facebook. I used to rp in tumblr, aff, twitter and Yada Yada but I like fb the most and I only rp on fb now.
2. I prefer nonaus because I just find it stressful having to make plots and stay in a certain plot or Yada Yada.
3. Well, I'm picky with my face claim so if that certain face claim isn't available then I won't join. I also look at how many members they have, I prefer bigger number of people but if I like it then probably around 30+ ppl. I also prefer active roleplays so even if it's small, if It's active then cool. How strict the rules are- I mean I know ppl want active member but you can't expect them to be on 5+ days in a row- people have busy lives and don't have time to be on everyday .

Well those were a few of the things I look at- hope this helped for whatever you need it for!

- I only do Facebook. Done line once, never liked it.
- au. aus are cooler imo but i see non aus gain more members. confusing.
- any interesting kind of au. i'd try them all tbh.
- the platform ofc, the theme, rules i don't like strict ones at all, the layout, subscriptions compared to applications. i'm a little precise. numbers of people the little the better.

1) Facebook. I've only tried that because I don't really like open roleplays and facebook is usually organized, which suits me the most.
2) Au, definitely. I like being creative with posts and plots, and I kinda take them seriously.
3) City aus, school aus, wolf aus. Entertaiment aus too. That's it probably.
4) Literacy, ualities allowed, upvotes and themes too. I also tend to join new established roleplays than old ones with many members.

1. i've been roleplaying for.. well over 5 years, upcoming 6 now. i started in a place called 'something cool' and 'hello'. i personally join facebook rps just because it's the easiest for me to maneuver, but i'm noticing a lot more twitter rps. *had to create a new aff, old one was too cluttered
2. au is more attention grabbing, but usually people don't play the role. nonau is still fine too, but i tend to stay away from it. i don't like to play the idol, but the faceclaim.
3. vamp/wolf ones are popular, but i like element ones too. anything out of the realm is interesting anyway. but often, admins tend to over do the au theme, and it becomes an agitation more than a pleasure.
4. finding where the rp is based (fb, twitter, aff, etc.), strictness of the rules (rping is supposed to be fun, chill is good), if my faceclaims are open is a big one, new rps are always important, the number of people remaining under 80ish-- because no matter what happens its hard to speak to everyone and when it becomes over that number; cliques have long formed and everyone knows whos who and whats what

/also, if you are creating a new place, do post on my wall!

1. i started joining instarps last year in december, but now, i've been jumping back into fbrps.
2. it all depends on the platform/info of the roleplay, in all honesty, as i'm comfortable with both.
3. city-aus. laid-back city-aus that doesn't require plotting. a lot of literate roleplays require plotting these days-- sometimes it gets repetitive but, it's better than nothing.
4. first criteria is the theme of the roleplay. i don't have a specific type but, if the information of the roleplay is enough to grasp onto my attention, then i'll immediately check if the faceclaims to my muse are available or not, second is to check on how long the roleplay has been running. i normally join newly-opened roleplays as there are little to no cliques, and everyone doesn't know each other yet.

+ i feel that i should put this opinion of mine out there but, uh. if you'd like to build a laid-back, relaxing rp that doesn't require much detailed writing, go for instagram, because instagram is simple. you interact through comments & dms, interactions encourage members to be active. the dms can sometimes pile up but, if you're keen on being active and you're enjoying the roleplay, that wouldn't be a problem. if you're a writer and you'd like to build a rp that emphasizes on literacy / details / para, then i'd say go for facebook, because there are no limitations to length on facebook, unlike instagram.
