Sound of My Heart

Nayeon was her usual normal self. She was teasing her maknaes and disturbing her favourite girls. Everyone played along knowing that it would help her heal faster. During V-Live recording, She was having fun playing games and laughing at her members who got punished.

Sehun was watching the video intensely when Chanyeol sat beside him.

CYL: Watching TWICE again?

SH: Neh…. (He answered short and simple.)

CYL: TWICE cooking? That’s going to be interesting!

Mina, Jungyeon, Tzuyu and Dahyun had to do their forfeit which was to cook a dish for their members. As they were planning, Momo expressed her desire to eat spaghetti. Jihyo turned to Nayeon asking what she would like. Before she could answer, Jungyeon intercept the conversation.

JYG: Unnie, I will make your fried rice. It is your favourite.

NY: I want Dubboki.

JYG: Huh…. Unnie, I am going to cook your favourite seafood fried rice.

CYL: Yup, Nayeon loves fried rice. We ate that together before.  (He exclaimed out loud causing Sehun to roll his eyes.)

NY: It is no longer my favourite dish. I couldn’t even eat or touch the dish anymore. (She answered in a slightly down tone.)

Chanyeol was a little surprised and disappointed by her answer. The last time they ate together, Nayeon professes her love for fried rice. She even fed him a little. His nagging heart tells him that people change, maybe Nayeon’s taste does too.

DH: Unnie, you will love my dubboki! I am good at making that. (She said proudly making Nayeon smile.)

As the episode progresses, Nayeon and Chaeyoung who was seated at the sofa decided to listen to music. Chaeyoung decided to share her list of top 3 songs and Nayeon too would share.

CYG: Once, do you want to hear Nayeon unnie’s top 3 music list?

NY: Once, you sure? My list could be boring?

CYG: Ani, I am sure they would like it too.

NY: Ara…. In this snowing winter, I am a person who will feel extra nostalgic. My first song…. Should I share? (She asked the maknae once again.)

CYG: Palli… share.

NY: Lately I have been replaying Gummy’s sunbaenim OST for the drama Master’s Sun. It is titled day and night.

CYG: Could you sing us just a little snippet of the song?

NY: Andwe…

CYG: Please… (The maknae pout.)

Chanyeol sensed something was a little off. He saw Chaeyoung held on to hr unnie’s hand and giving slow soothing gentle rub with her thumb calming the older girl.

JHO: Unnie, next song please.

NY: Ara…. You know I love drama. So the next song is from one of my favourite drama, Secret Garden. Baek Jiyoung sunbaenim sang the song ‘That Woman’ beautifully.

MN: Oh… chua. I love that song. Sing a little for me please.

NY: Shiro!

JHO: Unnie, sing with me…

Jihyo started off first because Nayeon was reluctant. After 2 lines, Nayeon began singing along although her eyes refused to meet others.

NY: Aigoo my baby knows me well. (She teases the young girl as she pinched Chaeyoung’s cheek.)

CYG: So….

NY: It was from Winter Sonata OST by Ryu sunbaenim titled From The Beginning Until Now.

CYG: I don’t know that song….

MN: I love that song. My mum watched the drama with me 3 years back and I cried buckets.

NY: I cried a lot rewatching it. The song is just so apt now. (She unknowingly sighs.)

By then Chanyeol wasn’t feeling good. He stood up and headed back to his room. Sehun hope that he got some idea how hurt Nayeon is.

JHO: Want to sing it?

Nayeon began singing it slow almost out of tune but then…. She eventually sings it. Her eyes tear a bit worrying her leader.

Chanyeol stared into space for a good whole hour before he figures out that he need to speak to Nayeon. For some reason, he began to retrospectively think of what could he have done to hurt Nayeon. Honestly he has the answer at the back of his mind but he refused to acknowledge it.

Oi! Where are you?

Nayeon read all of his messages. She will reply him later thinking that is the best way to take many steps away from him. By the time she had her shower, it was already 2.30 am. She stared at her phone wondering what she should reply.

Mianhe, I was busy. We’ll chat when I’m free arraso. Good night.

She hopes he is asleep by then. However, he phone began to ring. She stared at the name and wondered if she should answer. She eventually switched off her phone.

Mina and Nayeon were giggling at the counter waiting for their drink when suddenly Nayeon was spun so strong that she almost falls. Mina though it was some crazy fan and couldn’t help but pushed him.

MN: What are you doing? (She pushed Chanyeol as she grabs Nayeon’s arm.)

CYL: Mianhe, I wanted to surprise you girls.

NY: Micho…. What if people recognize you? (She suddenly scolded him before realizing there was a pretty girl with him.)

Chanyeol quickly introduced the girl as Byul his girlfriend. Nayeon and Mina both greeted the girl nicely. Mina observes Nayeon. Nayeon smiles genuinely at the girl who went off to find good seats for their date while Chanyeol catches up with the girls.

CYL: I texted you but you have been too busy lately.

NY: Mianhe, we have been busy lately.

CYL: Are you angry at me or something?

NY: Ani, why would I? Or why should I?

CYL: Anyway, the boys thought of having a party on 29^th December. Free to join?

NY: Mianhe, I can’t. (She refused politely without making any excuses.)

CYL: Nayeon ah…. (He called out to her not liking this weird tension between them.)

MN: Mianhe sunbaenim, we have to leave. (He was startled by Mina’s formalities and was even more stunned that Nayeon smiled and said goodbye like nothing happened.)

Awkward

Sana was resting in Kyungsoo’s arm at the back of the car as they talk about 2016. She loves these small moments with him. Although most of their dates are in car and only last for about 30 minutes to an hour, she loves spending time with him. Kyungsoo appeared a little too tense that night. She places her left palm on his chest as the other was around his waist. She looks up to him who was breathing a little too deep.

SN: Gwencana?

DO: Uhm…

SN: You don’t look good. You look like you are going to be sick.

DO: I’m fine love… Don’t worry.

Sana lays rest her head again in his embrace. Her left palm already left his chest but her fingers were tracing aimlessly on his chest. Kyungsoo took a deep breath and grabbed Sana’s hand.

DO: Kajima…. Stop that. (His tone was too serious making Sana a little upset.)

SN: What is wrong with you? (She asked as she pouts cutely at him.)

DO: If you continue doing that, I don’t know what I would do to you. I am a man after all. (He whispered softly to her in his deep y voice.)

Sana paused and wondered for a while. When she finally realizes what he meant, Sana immediately pull her away from him and looks away feeling shy. Kyungsoo’s hand reached for hers.

DO: Mianhe, it is one of those days when my needs and desire just got a bit too much. I will control myself better.

Sana nodded. As he drives her home, Sana couldn’t help but stare at her boyfriend. She didn’t know that her shabby self could make her boyfriend get ‘’.

DO: Wei, why are you staring at me? (He asked but his eyes still focused on the road.)

SN: Ani… just drive. (She answered him briefly as she put one of her hand on his thigh.)

On any normal days, Kyungsoo doesn’t get affected. However today, any part of his body that Sana touches ignites a certain amount of hormones into his bloodstream resulting in euphoria like sensation all over him. When they finally reached her dorm, Sana was feeling a little braver. As Kyungsoo gives her goodbye kisses her on her cheeks, she leaned a little close to his ears.

SN: When I am ready, I will treat you better my love. For now, I hope you will dream of me when you Errrr need me. (She whispered shyly into his ear before his earlobes lightly causing the man to go crimson red.)

Kyungsoo couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He couldn’t believe she just did. His ride back home hasn’t been anything peaceful. As he enters his apartment, he saw Chanyeol who was just drinking soju alone at the dining table.

CYL: You’re home.

DO: Why are you drinking alone?

CYL: Ani…. I just need to get rid of some heavy feelings in my heart.

DO: Did you quarrel with your girlfriend or something? (He asked genuinely concerned about although he doesn’t really fancy his girlfriend.)

CYL: Ani…. Today I saw Nayeon and Mina while I’m out with Byul.

DO: Oh…. (Kyungsoo wasn’t sure how else he should answer him.)

CYL: Nayeon is different. She has changed. Maybe she caught the celebrity disease.

DO: Nayeon?

CYL: Uhuh… Nayeon. Your girlfriend group member.

DO: She is not like that. Besides, why do you even care?

CYL: Ani… I never said I care.

DO: Oh okay. If you say so.

CYL: But the way she looks at me is no longer the same. (He began crying suddenly.)

DO: You are drunk. (He assisted Chanyeol to his bed.)

After putting down her phone, Sana sighed.

MN: Gwencana?

SN: Yup… but someone isn’t.

MN: Who?

SN: Chanyeol oppa… (She said before checking for Nayeon’s presence.)

MN: Why?

SN: He got drunk because he was upset at the way Nayeon spoke to him this afternoon after you guys bumped into him.

MN: He deserves that.

SN: I know right.

Sehun slammed the door as he enters his apartment. He was pissed beyond words. Sehun texted Mina so many times but received no reply. He knows why she avoided him. She is upset and worried if she would experience the same rejection as Nayeon. Knowing Mina, she rather avoids all these dilemmas than facing it head on.

String of My Heart

Chanyeol was surprised to see Jihyo and Black Pink Rose already at 10cm’s studio. He remembered a few weeks back that Nayeon said she may have an acoustic stage for one of the Gayo’s. He was disappointed not because it was Jihyo but because he wanted to see Nayeon. She has not been replying to his messages as frequently nor answers his calls. As the producers were arranging some chords, Chanyeol approach the girls.

CYL: Jihyo ah… Hi Rose sshi.

JHO: Neh sunbae…

CYL: Do talk comfortably… (He reminded the girl because it felt awkward that Jihyo addresses him formally.)

RS: Jihyo ah… are you Chanyeol sunbaenim close?

Jihyo was about to answer but Chanyeol cut her off subtly.

CYL: Neh, TWICE and EXO are very close.

RS: Oh….I needs to go to the toilet. I will be back. (Rose excuse herself when she sense Chanyeol needs to speak to Jihyo.)

CYL: Is Nayeon very busy lately?

JHO: Neh…

CYL: I want to apologize.

JHO: For?

CYL: For pressing for Nayeon’s explanation to the members.

JHO: What’s done is done. No point talking about it.

CYL: Is she hurt by what I did?

JHO: Why would she sunbae? She’s very happy for you and you should be happy that she has someone that she loves.

CYL: Who?

JHO: Just someone…. Sunbae, excuse me, I need to speak to manager unnie.

Run

Mina hasn’t been feeling that well lately. She has flu and has plenty of special stage practices. Once again, she rejected the name that appeared on her phone. She herself is not sure why she rejected the call though she misses him like crazy. Mina and Momo were on their way back to the dorm from practice at Big Hit Entertainment. They have a special collaboration stage for SBS Gayo. She sighs and she rested her head on Momo’s shoulder.

MM: You know things will get better right?

MN: I don’t know. I am not sure about many things.

MM: You know you can always count on us.

Mina smiled at her pretty unnie. Momo may look blur and nonchalant but she is actually very observant. Mina hit the showers once she was back home. She already changed into her wonzie when Sana crept beside her.

SN: I know you are very tired. Do you have about 40 minutes to spare?

MN: Why?

SN: I need to meet Kyungsoo oppa.

MN: You need me to accompany you?

SN: Please.  You can sleep in the car. I need to discuss something with him. Besides I miss him like crazy. (Sana begs Mina leaving out one tiny detail about the meet up.)

MN: Ara… for you unnie. I am willing to sleep in a car.

Mina was shocked when she entered the back of the car. Sehun smiled at her and handed her a cup of hot chocolate. Mina was speechless when she saw him. Kyungsoo drove the car to their favourite spot. Sehun hand slowly reached for Mina’s. She pulled her hand away causing Sehun to feel hurt by the rejection. As soon as Mina saw his disappointed face, she felt very bad. Sehun felt like crying. He doesn’t know what he did wrong. He took a sip of the hot chocolate to calm himself.

Mina couldn’t handle her feelings anymore. She scooted next to him and used her thumb to wipe off the cream at the corner of his lips. Sehun couldn’t be happier because this is the first time in a while she takes initiative to come close to him. He turned to look at the girl who blushes and shies away from looking at his face. He smiles silly when he feels Mina’s hand wrapping itself on his arm before leaning on him. He swore Mina could hear his heartbeat.

Sana looked through the rear view mirror and smile. She rested her hands on Kyungsoo’s thigh causing the guy to blush a little. When she saw him blush, Sana poke his cheek. She loves it when he blushes and when her touch cause a myriad of reactions. When they arrived at their secret place, Sana and Kyungsoo exit the car to give Mina and Sehun some privacy.

Mina’s and Sehun’s hand are just playing with each other. Without spoken words, they measure each other’s hand. When she was ready, she moves away from leaning onto Sehun. She wanted to pull her hand away but Sehun had a firm grip of it.

SH: I know the reason you have not been answering my call. (He breaks the silence.)

Mina nodded.

MN: Are you angry? (She whispered so soft that Sehun almost didn’t heard her.)

SH: Angry? Ani… I am disappointed and hurt to be honest. Have I done something wrong? Was it my fault that Chanyeol hurt Nayeon? Am I so detestable that you wouldn’t answer my call?

MN: Mianhe…

SH: Honestly, I knew you are going to react that way. I actually predicted it because I know you. That is why I decided to understand and accept your actions.

MN: Why?

SH: Why what?

MN: Why go through so much to understand me?

SH: Because I like you. Ani…. Because I love you. (He confidently said it out loud.)

Mina began to tear. As her eyes pool with tears, Sehun pull her into his embrace. She loves this. She loves being in his arms. She doesn’t understand why she has to run away.

MN: Mianhe…. I always thought that you would hurt me. So I always wanted to run away before I get hurt. I didn’t mean to but I when I think of all the possibilities, I‘d rather be away from you and admire you as an idol instead of a man. (She confesses her sincere feelings.)

SH: I know. Every time I think of why you act a certain way towards me, it made me realized how hard it must have been for you.

MN: I am scared of you hurting me. However when I see how Sana unnie is in a relationship, I envy her. I want to go on secret dates too. I want to hold hands and kiss too.

SH: You want to kiss me? (He causing her to hide her face in his arms.)

MN: Oppa…. (She whines playfully.)

SH: I want to kiss you too. Every night I dream of hugging you, kissing you, touching you and loving you.

MN: Oppa you sound like a ert.

SH: I am one only with you.

MN: Oppa…

SH: Uhmmm…..

MN: I am scared, for our future.

SH: Me too but what can I do. I am hopeless when it comes to you.

MN: What if things don’t work out?

SH: I really don’t know.

Both sighed not knowing how they can move forward in their confusion. Mina reached for her hot chocolate drink which already turns cold. As she sips the sweet velvety drink, a foam stain left at the corner of . Mina turned to look at Sehun who was staring at her. She eyed him wondering why he was staring at her. Sehun became a little nervous. He pursed his lips trying to hide the humongous desire to the foam off her lips because he worry she would think he is a ert.

SH: Mina ya….

MN: Wei oppa….

SH: Promise me you won’t be angry no matter what.

MN: Huh? (She responded feeling a little confused.)

SH: Please… promise me….

MN: Arraso… I promise I won’t.

The moment he promised her, Sehun leaned forward. He stares at the foam on for a short moment before it off gently. Mina was stunned. She could not move nor respond. Her heart was racing and she could feel and imagine how red her face must have been. She however doesn’t deny that she enjoyed the feeling. This intimacy she has with Sehun is making her happy. Sehun stared into her eyes as he was searching and trying to understand her reaction. He wonders if she likes what he did. The redness on her cheeks told him she did.

Sehun leaned forward again. This time round, he pulled her waist closer. Mina couldn’t tear her eyes away from him. Unknowingly, she circles her arms around his neck. She could feel his heartbeat. She could feel the air he exhales. She could feel the warmth they both exude. Sehun plucked out all the courage he has and his lips finally rested on hers. Mina closed her eyes, she thought for a moment before finally parting her lips. Sehun took it as a welcome sign for his tongue to enter and explore the mouth that brings sweetness to his mouth. They only parted when both become out of breath.

SH: Minari…. You drive me crazy.

MN: I know….. You made me this way. (She smiles at him.)

Sana was leaning onto Kyungsoo. They kept still as they absorb the chilling silence. As their embrace grow tighter, their body started to rock slowly until Kyungsoo breaks the silence.

DO: Stop rocking Sana ya…

SN: Wei…  (She asked knowing the obvious answer.)

DO: You know what that does to me. I am human after all.

SN: But I can’t… (She as she smiles to herself.)

DO: Please don’t…. I am trying my best to control the millions of hormones in my body.

SN: Jincha? (She questioned him playfully as she pulls his arm tighter.)

DO: You don’t know how hard it has been lately. I had to go to the toilet every night just to relief the pain and it’s not easy. (He confesses to her as he rest his chin on her neck.)

SN: I told you to dream of me didn’t I?

DO: You did but that is different.

Somehow Kyungsoo’s breath on Sana’s neck is not making things easier for her too. His breath awakens a tingling sensation that makes her desire him a little too much. When Kyungsoo’s lip grazes her neck, Sana took a sharp breath. Kyungsoo finally understand that she was feeling what he was feeling too. He turned her around to face him but Sana looks away feeling shy. He raised her chin a little and kissed her softly. As their kiss turned more passionate, their body to were engulfed in a blanket of needs and desire. Sana could feel it. She felt the growing manhood of her boyfriend as she leans on him. Kyungsoo became braver. His hand slowly made his way into her sweater and his bare hands grazes her skin. He was just about to move it up when Sana’s phone rang.  It was the timer she has set for them to go home. Naturally the both of them pulled away blushing.

DO: Sana ya… this is dangerous…

SN: I know right but I can’t stop that feeling….

DO: Me too….

SN: Let’s get back in the car.

When Sana and Kyungsoo opened the door, they were pleasantly surprised to see Mina’s head on Sehun’s lap both sleeping with their hand intertwine. Kyungsoo smiled at Sana knowing she felt happy that both Mina and Sehun care for each other.

Your Loss

Chanyeol was grumpy since morning. Nothing turned out right for the past week. He was drinking a cold bottle of water when he saw the news that TWICE and Seventeen has a collaboration stage. He rolled his eyes and entered his room. He put on his jacket and quickly left the dorm. He cycled around in the cold hoping that some exercise could distract him.

At a nearby river, he took his phone and dialled Nayeon’s number. He almost slammed his phone when he realized that the number is no longer in use. He rushed back to his dorm and entered Kyungsoo’s room.  He pulled away the blanket as he grabs Kyungsoo’s pyjamas.

CYL: What the did I do so wrong? Why is Nayeon avoiding me?

Kyungsoo was about to throw a punch at Chanyeol but thankfully Suho pulled Chanyeol away.

SHO: What is wrong with you Chanyeol?

DO: Micho? What makes you think Nayeon is avoiding you?

CYL: She didn’t answer my texts and my calls and now she even has her number changed. Doesn’t that look like avoiding to you?

DO: Why the hell do you need to contact her when you already have a girlfriend?

That questioned stumped him.

SHO: That is true. Chanyeol, Nayeon can’t be at the back of your call just because you want her to. You have a girlfriend right? Depend on her then. Why do you need to look for Nayeon?

CYL: I want her that is my problem not yours.

Xiumin entered the room and finally opens his mouth.

XM: Stop throwing your tantrum just because you don’t get the best of both worlds. You want a girlfriend to satisfy your needs and you want a girl bff that understands your heart. How selfish can you get Chanyeol ah?

CYL: Hyung… It is none of your business.

XM: Ani… It is….

CYL: WTF are you trying to say.

XM: It is my business when you are disturbing the girl I am pursuing.

CYL: Boyah????

XM: I’ll make this clear. Since you said that you don’t like Nayeon as a special girl, I am going to pursue her.

CYL: You are?

SHO: Hyung….

SH: Good…. (Sehun’s comment got everyone to look at him.) Nayeon deserves a good man and Xiumin hyung is a gentleman.

Chanyeol couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He left the boys and locked himself in the room all day.

Why is he feeling so hurt when he himself think Nayeon is not special to him?
