"If I say, "I LOVE YOU", would that be enough to console your heart. Be enough to give you a peace of mind. Be enough payback of saving my life."

I raised my head and smiled at him. 

"Your Highness, I was bethroted to you since an early age. But as time goes by, I learn to love all things about you. The way you laugh when The King and Queen plays with you. The way you pout when you're having a hard time studying with the teachers and your straightforwardness and honesty. Even though you didn't give me a glance or smile, I still manage to offer my heart to you. When you said the word payback, that offended me, Your Highness."

"I apologize, I didn't mean to----

"Its alright Your Highness, but please don't be mistaken. I did save your life but not for you to give me something in return. I saved your life because I love you, Your Highness."

"Still you didn't answer my question. If I say those words to you would it be enough?"

-I saw and heard how sincere you are and that it really was a message from your heart. God knows how hurt I was while watching you. The words, the emotion and the expressions I was craving to  see and hear from you was displayed right in front of her and the heart I desperately wanted to win was already in the hands of another woman. If I hear those words from you right now, it would not be from your heart but from your conscience. You just want to say those words to me because you pity me. Because you feel sorry for me. Hearing those words from you will make me feel even worse. Hearing those words out of pity would make me feel that I really cant win against a woman who you fall in love with even though she was just meant to kill you. I know you heard everything from His Majesty. If you don't want the feeling of being in-dept with me. Just rest well and go on with your studies to be able to lead the country well in the future. That's enough for me. If you may excuse me, but it's past bed time and I want to return to my chamber and you also need to retire in your chamber."

I smiled and bowed to him and went back to my chamber holding back my tears.
