Let Me Sleep

Description

Who plays music at the middle of the night while some people are already deep in their slumber?

You’re the light, you’re the night, you’re the color of my blood

It continued playing.

You’re the cure, you’re the pain, you’re the only thing I wanna touch, never knew that it could mean so much

Seungcheol flipped and rolled on his sheets as he struggled to hide his ears from the noise, with the origin unknown, though it seemed just a few meters away. His mind was too tired and groggy from his school duties to even figure out what it was.

So love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do, touch me like you do, to-to-touch me like you do, what are you waiting for?

Is someone feeling hopelessly romantic tonight?

Ignorance recently became his new best friend, so he struggled to still pin his body on his comfy bed, hoping for someone to turn off the music.

I can’t see clear no more, what are you waiting for?

The continuous playing of the song had somehow awoken his sleeping spirits. It was then when he realized the music came from his room all along. Swimming in his sheets, he followed the trail of the resounding tone, and discovered someone was actually calling him.

The light shocked his eyes, but no more than the unregistered phone number that popped up. The red reject button was enticing to press but it was too late. The caller stopped calling, leaving three missed calls and no messages behind.

As far as he knew, he was indebted to no one at the time being, his parents already called him that night, and he was sure he already passed that financial report of their org’s recent outreach activity.

A message suddenly went in. He opened it and he knew by then that it was a ridiculous idea to actually entertain the person who texted him. The person just left an address and a call to save him or her from whatever insanity he or she was in at the moment.

He scoffed at the thought of the statement. He knew that a thing like this just didn’t make any sense at 1:37 in the morning.
