as jade was cleaning her apartment she gets a call from  her mother this call will change the rest of her life:

Jade: mom! no! i'm too young to be in an arranged marrage.

Mom: But jade he is a really nice young man and he is my friends son"

Jade:  what!!!! your going to sell me to the Kim family just because you think he is a nice guy"

Mom:  no sweety i just want you to be happy"

Jade: no mom i wont do it i have a life here in america i cant just leave everything here and go marry someone i dont know"

mom: " sweety i have to tell you something"

mom: "i have cancer and i dont have very long to live"

jade starts to cry " mama wy didnt you tell me why mom"

Mom: jade honey its gonna be ok but you need to come home i emailed you your plane ticket you leave tomorow at 9pm"

Jade: " dont worry mama i am coming "

Mom: " bye jade be safe and dont worry about me"

Jade: " bye mama " 

jade couldnt believe it why would this happen to her mother a year after her father left. as jade

packs her bags the tears stream down her face. she has no other option but to accept what her

mother is telling her and be a big girl. she finishes packing and takes a shower and goes to bed

tomorow is going to be a long day
