Kyoko Maru has many problems. Her family is a wreck, with an abusive father and a helpless mother; her school life is nonexistent, she ditches at every chance due to ridicule and boredom; and all her friends have either moved, died, or betrayed her. She feels hopeless, like  her life has no meaning.

When she thinks her last day is finally here, she meet Takuto Lee, a 19-year-old boy who is cool and collected. Just being around makes Kyoko feel serine and happy. 

As her  life outside the garden es and she grows dangerously more attracted to Takuto, she will have to choose between fixing her broken life or abandoning all she knows to be with Takuto.
