Donghae's world was spinning, all the time. He couldn't sleep because he always had nightmares, he couldn't eat because it didn't taste anything, he didn't want to be with his friends because he was afraid of giving them too much trouble with just being around them. He was also afraid of being in a relationship because he didn't know how to express his feelings.
