Foreword

Mina was tired of living her boring life filled with school, cram school, and homework. She hated how she only had one friend, and even then she was rarely able to see him The soft melodies that play through her headphones weren't helping her relax like they normally did. She sighed, leaning against the railing of her balcony and looked up to the stars. I wish I was extraordinary she thought, and as she made her wish a star fell from the sky.

Jinyoung had a thing for heights. He could climb the highest building, and it would still be too close to the Earth for him. He wanted to be free from the restrictions of gravity, he wanted to be like Superman. When he couldn't sleep he would look at the stars from the roof of the twenty floor apartment complex he lived in. When he saw a shooting star he nearly fell from the roof in excitement. “I wish to be extraordinary” he said with a faint smile.

Jackson was nothing special, as he liked to think. His grades , he wasn't good at sports (Minus fencing, but no one wanted to partake in it), and he only had one friend. Most people thought he was weird for always having some form of camera with him. He only kept a camera with him in case he happened to come across something amazing; because it was something he would never be. He smiled as he rewatched the footage of the falling star he had seen early, “Please grant my wish of making me extraordinary”

Kunpimook hated the fact that he transferred schools, almost everyone treated him like crap because he was a foreigner. He really was doing he best to try and fit in; he even worked his off to be able to speak with his fellow classmates. But it all seemed to be for nothing. He angerly threw the basketball he was holding at the hoop, and screamed to the sky in frustration. He closed his eyes for a moment, and when he opened them he saw a star zooming across the sky. “I wish to be extraordinary, and I'll show them all.”

Even though it was getting cold out Mark still loved going the the abandoned amusement park that was owned by his family, like most places in the area. He loved climbing to the top of the Ferris wheel, it had the best view of the open sky. He loved coming here because it was his escape from the pressure of taking over the family business; it gave him a place to breathe. He knew people only wanted to be friends with him because he came from money. He didn't want to be known for coming from a well off family. He wanted to be special. When he saw a star light up the sky he nearly tipped over the compartment he was in trying to get a better look at it. “I wish to be extraordinary” he breathed out, hoping with all his might his wish would come true.

Yugyeom would spend his nights hanging out under a forgotten overpass, he didn't care if it was falling apart, he didn't have anything to lose. His family was so poor that he could imagine them being happy about his death, one less mouth to feed and cloth. He hated being known as the poor kid in school, the looks alone drove him nuts. He knew everyone felt pity for him, but he didn't want it. He wanted to throw it back in their faces because one day he was going to show them how amazing he was going to be. When he saw a star racing it's way across the night sky he didn't hesitate to scream out his wish. “I wish to be extraordinary!”

No matter what Youngjae did it was never good enough. He was held to the standards that his older brother and sister had set. Perfect grades, perfect at sports, class president, everything that wasn't him. He was decent at track, but he was always half a second behind his opponent. He collapsed to the ground, his legs giving out on him from pushing himself too hard; he was going to win the biggest race of the season and finally his mom and dad would look at him with praise instead of emptiness. He had almost missed the star falling out of the sky due to the bright field lights; but that didn't stop him from making his wish. “I wish to be extraordinary”

Jaebum was a bubble boy, his mom was over protective of him. He wasn't allowed to do anything outside of school because of her fear of the world. The only reason he went to public school was because he and his father had convinced her that she wouldn't have time to home school him; which was a lie because he knew his mother would drop everything if it meant he would stay home. He wanted adventure, he wanted to be something, anything. He was leaning out his window when he saw a star crashing down from space, “I wish to be extraordinary” he whispered hoping that somehow he would be able to live his life to the fullest.
