I was sitting at the park that day. 

 

You could just smell it in the air

 

It was the first week of spring…

 

'Its Moon.' I said in my mind in surprise as I saw the stray cat I named Moon pass by. He looked at me carelessly then lounged in front of me at a distance. 

 



 

I was so worried about him last winter. I was supposed to bring him in our house but I couldn't find him.

 

A boy passed me by. "where have you been?" he said.

Was he talking to me? Since we were the only people in the park.

 

He approached Moon and picked him up. "let's go home." The boy smiled at Moon as he carried the cat out of the park.

Moon was still looking at me aimlessly.

 

I couldn't help but wonder who was that boy. 

 

I secretly…

Followed him.

 

Moon squiggled in his arms and jumped off just to come to me. 

I crouched down and patted Moon. 

"I see you're friends." I saw his shadow in front of me. I looked up and smiled. 

"Is he yours?" I asked nicely.

He sat in front of me.

"yes. His name's Cocoa." He said as he patted the cat as well.

"Mianhe, I didn't know Moon had an owner." I looked up at him.

"moon?"

"yes, I've been calling him moon for a while now." I smiled. 

 

He just stared and smiled at me. 

 

"I'm Jinyoung, Cocoa/Moon, lives with me."

I smiled, blushing.

"I'm Goomi."

 

We  stood up.

 

"would you like to come in and have some tea?"

"sure. Why not."

Moon followed us in. 

 

"do you feed all the cats that roam around?" he asked as we sipped tea.

"sort of. Do you live alone?"

"yes. I do. thank you for feeding Cocoa all this time." 

"nothing to thank me for. Moon and I are friends." 

"any friend of 'moon' is my friend too." He smiled

I smiled as well. 

 

"actually, I'm new here." I confessed. 

"oh, so you don't really know anyone yet huh?"

"yeah. You're the first one I've talked to actually." I smiled.

"don't you go to school?"

"no." I sighed sadly. 

"what do you do all day then?" he looked at me interestedly. 

"play with the cats." I smiled.
