It was 1 am in the night and the rain is pouring hard outside of nct's dorm, noises of the rain water dripping alongside with the loud thunder, however despite the loud noises that it makes most of the nct members still sleeps peacefully in their own room. 

but not for chenle, nope, chenle have been sitting on his bed with his sleepy eyes and messy blondish hair for quite awhile now, he couldn't even remember for god knows how long have been he sits there staring at the wall blankly, it wasn't because of nightmares. no chenle is not that scared of nightmares considering that his nightmares only consist of some cliché scenes where he is being chased by a scary monster, but that obviously isn't the reason of course, it was because the thunders outside, he can't close his eyes due to the loud noises by the thunders which makes his heart thump faster than usual, he's scared of thunders. and he won't lie about it

chenle looked around his surroundings as he scanned the room he's in, he shares a bed with renjun, he looked into his left side to see renjun sleeping with a moomin plushie in his embrace,and a moomin sleeping mask on, he then look over into a slighty distanced jisung sleeping alone on a single sleeping mat covered in blanket, chenle can only see a few strands of blonde hair peeking out from the blanket, chenle giggled at the sight because it was cute, its like jisung "small" figure is being eaten by the thick sheet of blanket

chenle slowly gets up from where he is used to be, as expected the moment he got up renjun quicky took over his sleeping space rolling over with his moomin plushie, "tsk" is the only thing chenle could mumble. he is confused on  what to do now since renjun basically 'colonized' his sleeping space, with a little bit of doubt chenle walk over to the comfortably sleeping jisung, he slowly sits down next to him, the same time jisung roll over making his face now could be seen, chenle was startled for a bit but then keeps himself calm because jisung is still sleeping. jisung sleeping face makes chenle heart melts to the grounds because it is very cute, it makes chenle feels so soft chenle couldn't help himself but to caresses his cheeks softy and then when he about to stand up a soft voice could be heard

"h..hyung?" it was jisung's. did he wake him up? chenle thought to himself and looked back slowly preparing to greet the now awake younger blonde male behind him "Y..yes jisung ah?... what's the matter?" seriously chenle, "what's the matter"???? chenle mentally facepalm at his own question why would he ask that? when its clear he's the reason jisung is awake now. "i feel like someone was touching my cheek earlier.." Gee thanks chenle now he's scared  "was it you hyung??" jisung asks chenle while looking at him sleepily, before yawning softly. "yes..i'm sorry that was me i..i hope you're not mad or feeling weird about it.." chenle pouted and frowns before he looked down at his shivering feet

but then jisung just shaked his head slightly and frowns too upon seeing the now sad looking chenle, he didn't mean to make the older looked guilty, he was just curious on who just caressed his cheeks, jisung did not complain because holy sweet fiddlesticks his hand is so soft. "hyung why aren't you sleeping? its almost 01:30..is something keeping you awake?" jisung's question makes chenle got taken a back before looking at jisung shyly "thunder... the noises they make..i cant sleep properly because of it and renjun gege took over our shared sleeping mat all for himself.."

"well in that case do you want to sleep here with me?" huh?

"sleep with me hyung" sleep with him???????????

"hyung?" jisung then sits up tugging at chenle's sleeves and look at him worriedly, chenle was blanking for a slight bit of time before snapping out and look back at jisung who's now looking all worried because of him "uh?? oh! of course jisung i would if you don't mind" 

"why would i wont allow you to sleep with me though hyung?" jisung asks chenle with a small grin before chenle could say anymore jisung pulls him down next to him on the sleeping mat,despite being only for one person suprisingly the mattress could fit them both and jisung quickly covers them both with a soft blanket after adjusting for awhile jisung sleeps on his left side facing  the wall and mumbled a soft goodnight to chenle, chenle himself was about to sleep too he could feel his eyes getting heavier and heavier just as about he is about to get into his slumber, a loud and banging sound could be heard with a flash. it is the thunder and chenle's eyes jolts open as he sits up immediately heart thumping fast again

jisung is startled by this and quickly sits up too while rubbing his eyes and then when he is done rubbing it he sees the now scared chenle "ji...jisung the thunders are scary i'm scared..." chenle feels like he's gonna cry because the noise was so loud, making him unable too sleep too. jisung feels bad at this and decided to pull chenle closer to him making the older blonde chinese boy blushed at the sudden action, "jisung? what are you doing" he muttered out as he trying to hide his obvious blush for now, jisung then smiled at chenle as he now pulled him even more closer untill there is no more gap between them

"you said you were scared right hyung? if i'm here to held you close like this will you still be scared hyung?" chenle was dumbfounded by jisung's words, he's shocked to hear, a 14 year old boy saying this to him which lead to make himself blush like an idiot but he was right... for some reason when jisung held him close like now all of his fears is gone? he is no longer scared of the thunder sounds and the warmth of jisung's body makes him even more calmer than before

with that chenle could only nod and tighten his grip on jisung when another thunder strikes from the skies, jisung looked over and sees chenle scared look, for a second he pouted at chenle because even though he's there to keep him calm but on the other side he finds it really cute and jisung feels like he wanted to squish chenle.

"jisungie i'm scared..." chenle swears he been saying that for the 100th time now but he cant help it, his is really scared of thunders, after a short time of silence jisung then shifts over slightly, and then firmly holds chenle hands, jisung lifts up chenle's chin making the older to look at him in the eyes, "hyung, its okay to be scared, its normal to be scared of something." jisung strongly assures chenle as he rubs the back of chenle's soft palms "if you ever feel scared you dont need to worry hyung" i don't? "because if you ever feel scared, even on the slightest thing, you can come to me like now,' jisung took some short breathes before continuing his words

"you can come to me, hold me tight and tell me what scares you, i wont mind how long you explain it but i dont mind, and i will hold your hand and protect you from it" protect me? jisung ah.. "yes. you hear me i will protect you from anything that scares you, as long as you hold my hand i will be there and keep you safe away from whatever that scares you even if its donghyuck hyung coming out the bathroom with a face mask" chenle chuckled at the last sentence and smiles brightly as jisung finish off his words, he could feel all flowery and butterflies inside him from jisung's sweet words 

jisung then pulled chenle into a tight hug making him gasp a little, jisung on the other hand was smiling while hugging chenle "just like now how i am keeping you safe and comfy now hyung" he trailed off, chenle smiles and whispers a thank you to jisung as they break the hug jisung asks the older if they should sleep now, chenle nodded happily both of them layed down jisung then goes back laying on the side but now facing chenle, chenle also lays on his side facing jisung,chenle thought ,

he's right, whenever i feel scared he will always be there and hold my hand telling everything's gonna be ok, whenever i feel down he will again hold my hand and cheer me up,

when i feel like the world is being very mean and dark to me he will be there and make sure i wont be hurt by it and stay safe, or when jaemin hyung and donghyuck hyung is pranking him he will be there to prank them back and defend him 

he will always be there for him, no matter what even if the reason is a bit ridiculous, but it doesn't matter because jisung loves him. 

and he loves him too

chenle smiles at his thoughts and soon his eyes starts to close slowly and soon he fell asleep in a speed of light little did he know he fell asleep while holding jisung's hand
