You Can Call Me Monster

Description

Jaein doesn’t have what you would call “the usual job”. She calls herself a Private Investigator; in actuality, ‘P’ in P.I. stands for something else: ‘Paranormal' (and that's only the tip of the iceberg!) . Join Jaein, and her assistant Jaesun, on their quest to rid the world of evil, one episode at a time.

Foreword

Jaein is a P.I. who, together with her assistant, Jaesun, apprehends the otherworldly, rather than the usual suspects. Both come from a long line of hunters who track down and slay (wait for it) monsters. Their line of work usually entails anonymity, which means that they don’t take credit. They work pro-bono most of the time, otherwise accepting special cases by word-of-mouth.

Lately, though, the ‘evil levels’ (for lack of better word) have spiked up, which means that the duo are going to have to work harder to combat their adversaries, and it doesn’t help that they have to be off the grid (for good reason) to the people who can help them and ironically, the very people who would off them at the first chance of discovery: their clan of hunters.

As it stands, the duo realizes that this threat is the least of their problems. There’s even bigger trouble brewing ahead, with a coven of witches close to stirring up the beginnings of the biggest war there will ever be in the history of mankind.

Join Jaein and Jaesun as they fight evil and along the way, make friends in unlikely places.

Footnotes

  • Informally (as in footnotes, postscripts, author's notes) Jaein and Jaesun will be called the ‘Jaes’ for convenience.
  • Cameos by korean celebrities (mostly KPOP idols) should be expected. In most cases they will be the Jaes’ clientele.
  • This is a work of fiction inspired from several shows; the main show being Supernatural. Each chapter is named as an Episode, with the titles being derived from famous movies, series, or anime. The contents of these episodes will thus be related to their titles.
  • As of now, 5 'episodes' have been mapped out, with the first currently on the way to be published.
  • The author (of this story) does not in any way own any korean artists or the shows from where these ‘episodes’ are inspired from (except for the original characters). Please enjoy and feel free to critique
