The first time she had seen them, she had only been 14 years of age, and a flower blossoming into a pure beauty.

  She had been sitting by her favourite tree, a place so high up on the hill that she had full view of the entire forest. At least the parts that weren’t covered in mile long trees. The sun was slowly setting, and she was desperately trying to read as many sentences of her book she could before the forest had gone completely dark and she wouldn’t be able to see anymore.

  Every possible sound was surrounding her - sounds of rustling leaves, the calm wind and the small animals luring around. However that night had been different, for the first time she had heard the sound of howling wolves as clearly as if they were next to her.
