Chapter 3/?

Homesick

”Yah Junhyung-“ Hara ran her fingers through her hair, clear frustration present
on her stance. “Are you seriously being like this right now?”

”What?” Junhyung stared at her from his couch.

"What?” She replied. “What do you mean what?” She crossed her arms, eyes staring
his way for any sense. “Why does it seem that you get worse with each day that goes by?
You promised we’d do something tonight and yet here you are typical Junhyung. I shouldn’t
have wasted my time getting ready because I should have known you’d be like this.

“Promise? I didn’t promise anything.”

“Junhyung-“

"Promises are meant to be broken anyway.” Junhyung flipped through the channels
on the television, attention clearly not focused on the fuming girl. ”Oh and that guy, stop talking
to me about him. I’m done messing with him.” Junhyung sat up straight, expression clearly
annoyed. “I’m not dealing with him anymore.” He stared back her way.
“I’ve had enough of everyone."

"You're done with it?" She laughed in disbelief. “It’s not like I’m asking you to hand
me over your life. It’s the least you could do considering you are my boyfriend.” Her eyes
began to water the longer their argument went on. “I shouldn’t have
to ask you to protect me yet you don’t even give me the slightest glimpse of worry."
She complained, slowly reaching the seated boy. “You seem to be forgetting who I am.
Because I know for sure you wouldn't be acting the way you are. It's like you're asking me
to speak to my father about how my boyfriend, his future son in law and how he gives two
craps about his girlfriend.”

“Seriously? You have to go there again?” Junhyung stood to his feet. “What does that
have anything to do with this? How does me looking for a guy I've never seen before in my
life and bloodying him to the bone have anything to do with your father? Why must I hurt
someone just for you to be satisfied when in reality I have no idea what he’s even doing to you.
For all I know, you could be making everything up because that's exactly what you're capable of."

She smiled, not quite sure what else to do upon hearing his words. “So my feelings don't
matter and on top of that, you think I’m lying? Great-"

"Your feelings don't matter? Junhyung’s eyes had pure rage in them as he stepped closer
to the girl. ”What about my ing feelings? He yelled. “I can’t remember the last time
anyone asked me how I was feeling.”

"Ha!” She looked to the side, tear doused eyes wavering. “Junhyung, you speak
as if you have emotions.” She looked at him. “You make it sound like there’s actually
a heart in that cruel body of yours.”

"Thank you.” He began towards his front door as a dire need to leave his house
engulfed him. “Thank you for clarifying everything for me. I applaud you.”

"Yah, Junhyung!”  Mr. Yong who had been eavesdropping the entire time followed him.

“What!” He grabbed Junhyung’s shoulder, turning the man his way.

He raised his hand, slapping his son’s face. “You get back in there and apologize to her.”

"Why?” Junhyung looked at him. “So you can take over the ing company.
So that your precious life is secure? Should I get married with her now?
Perhaps have a child and raise them to have the wonderful fairy tale I grew up with?”
His father hit him again, no emotion present on the man’s face.

"You better get your act together. Or else mom and I won't have a choice but to send
you away, son.” He his heel, leaving Junhyung outside.

Junhyung breathed in the frigid air as he fought to hold his composure.
He heard footsteps behind him, corner of his eyes realizing it was Hara. “Please, you
add on as well.” He turned his back towards her, eyes just about to give in yet fighting not to.

"There's nothing to add. Everything's been pretty much said.” She walked past him
towards the front gate. “By the way, regarding that idiot at school.” She turned her head towards
him. “I'll take things into my own hands since my own boyfriend doesn't care for my safety.”
She pulled her phone out before quickly leaving the Yong resistance.

Junhyung took a few steps before falling to the ground, tears overtaking his eyes. He wasn't
a fan of crying, especially when it had to do with his so called family yet it seemed to get the
better of him. He officially, as of today, realized he really had no one to turn to. He had no idea
what to think or feel - his body curled onto the ground. Rather he woke up or rather he stay there
until whenever didn't matter to him. His life had no use anymore.
He was just Junhyung – no family – no one to care.

- Later that night -

Junhyung had nothing left. No matter how much his dad threated
him or no matter how much his so called friends didn’t care for him, none
of that mattered. In the end, if he was completely wiped from the surface of the
planet, as if he hadn’t even existed, his dad couldn’t bother him anymore. That was his
only solution.

He strolled down a dark road, eyes just begging for the best possible solution to end
his misery. He laughed as all the thoughts came pouring into his head. A cliff, overpass,
perhaps something sharp he thought it over. He’d been walking for a good hour and a half,
nothing really fancying his taste. He knew this was the end of the line for him just a matter
of when and how tonight.

"Car…” He spoke, feet dragging against the ground. “It’ll be quick that way.” The path he was on
was about to split.

He stopped, emotionless as he wondered which way he would go.

A long, pitched creak to his right made him stop thinking for just a second. “Oh,”
He glanced over to a familiar scene near him. His feet began towards the school playground,
the scenery
ahead managing to stop the nonsense that had been consuming his mind.
He wasn’t sure why he went that way but something was pushing him in that direction
and at this point he wasn't going to fight it off.

“That guy is always here.” He spoke out loud as he sat on the empty swing. His feet pushed
him forward, the cool breeze gushing past his skin. The midnight air rushed into his lungs, sending
spine churning chills through his veins, Hyunseung now on his mind.
He looked at the spot next to him – empty.

He sighed, eyes following the swing that was accompanied by the wind.

What’s your name…

Junhyung shot to his feet, heart racing from a sudden set of images that played in his head.
He grabbed his chest, pulse on the verge of disrupting him. He looked on either side of him,
wondering if someone was around him that could have spoken. He heaved for air,
eyes wide as tears began to consume him.

“What the hell…” He spoke as he fell back onto the swing. He stared at his jeans,
droplets of tears soaking up the light material. “How is that even possible?” He spoke as
if someone was listening. The chains creaked again – Hyunseung on his mind again.
“What the hell is going on?” Junhyung couldn’t understand what was wrong with him.
Memory? He shouldn’t have any. That part of his brain was shut down. There was no way he
could recall anything or anyone. Yet a small part of his closed off world managed to
squeeze its way into the current one.

"Impossible.” He got to his feet, hand covering up his mouth in attempt to
hide the painful scream he had to get rid of. He cried into his hands as thoughts of him
killing himself began surfacing.

Before he knew it, he was on the path again. But instead of going into an unknown world,
he was on the path he had come from.

Junhyung sat up in his bed, sweat dripping down his face. He struggled to find
his phone, eyes planted on the date glaring back at him. "."

It was Thursday. He'd been locked in his room, sleeping for the past three days.

He walked over to his window, staring at the setting sun. His father had left the
house that one night, leaving Junhyung by himself for who knew how long.

Beep

He glanced over towards his bed, phone continuously going off. He sighed, walking over
to the device he preferred not to have. Forty-seven missed messages it read.
He scrolled from the oldest ones, skipping over each name he'd rather have
not seen upon waking up.

He settled on opening the newest one, the beginning few words somewhat catching his attention.

- Yo! We gonna have fun with that kid soon. Join us if you dare.

Junhyung read with no expression. He honestly didn't care what nonsense Joon
and the idiots were up to.

He threw his phone back onto his bed and made his way towards his bedroom door.
He grabbed the door knob, pulling it towards him.

It creaked – He stopped.

That night entered his head like a tsunami. That boy, those swings, and that message
he just read. He darted towards his phone, rereading the message. Twenty minutes ago it
was received. "." He quickly texted Joon back.

- Where are you?

He paced in his room, the suspense of the reply messing with him. "What the hell."
He sat on the chair in the corner of his room. "What’s wrong with me?" He shook head.
He wasn't sure why his blood decided to boil but he tried to ignore it. "Whatever."
He began to leave his room again before a short, quiet sound made him race towards his bed.

- School. Front : )

Before Junhyung knew it, he was sprinting down the long plunge
of his stairs and into the cold of the evening night.

Feet quickened with each new unwanted sound Junhyung heard.
The patchiness of the dark with the howling of the coming winter made the night
even more memorable for the hurrying man. Junhyung pealed the first
man away, fist landing in the side of the jawline. “You ing sons a …”
The other two boys or better yet friends of Junhyung turned around in
awe to see their best friend throwing punches left and right at them.

“Junhyung, what’s-“ Junhyung jammed his fist into Joon's stomach, throwing
him back a few feet.

“Only I can deal with him.” Junhyung pushed away the last boy off the bleeding body.
“Only I,” Junhyung heaved as he stared at the broken body. “Can hurt him….”
Hyunseung  looked up through the dark fringe of his hair to see a nearing Junhyung.

“You got it?”

"But Junh-“

“You ing got it?” His voice raised an enormous level, eyes sending death their way.
The trio of boys shuddered in their skins as they slowly began backing away, not even
questioning their friend that seemed to have gone insane.

"Ye…” They all spoke, confusion overtaking them. They had no idea but they
listened because after all he was their leader and someone they've known since
they were barely walking.

" off then.” Junhyung’s knees collided with the dirt ground, eyes looking
over the severe damage on Hyunseung. "I don’t get you. I really don’t.”
Junhyung sighed, eyes glaring at the clouded night sky. “Can you walk?”

"Sit over there.” Junhyung pointed toward the bed in the corner of the
dark nurse’s office. He thoroughly searched through the glass supply cabinet not even
sure what he was looking for. His fingers stopped, ears carefully listening to the breaths
and sniffles coming from the corner of the room. He sighed, grabbing something that
looked good enough as he made his way over to the huddled up body. “Is it your
goal to die at this school?” He crouched a little in order to be eye level with Hyunseung.

Junhyung’s hands shook as he stumbled with the stubborn box of medicine.
He found an alcohol wipe. He wasn’t sure what he was doing but he placed the
wipe on Hyunseung’s face, wiping the streaks of blood rushing from his forehead.
Hyunseung flinched in discomfort, body backing up a bit. “Hold still, will you.”
Junhyung spoke, making sure that next time he went a bit easier with the application.
“Can’t you defend yourself?” Junhyung winched at the view of the scars worse than
the ones he made. “It’s scar upon scar.” He was one to talk though. He knew he
was the one that created most of them yet he found the need to complain. Junhyung
sighed yet again, the beating thing in his chest becoming a bit more noticeable
.

"I prefer your punches…” Hyunseung chuckled, his low voice ringing throughout
 the echoey
room. Junhyung stopped whatever he planned on doing as he stared at the
black hair falling over the other’s eyes.

"Are you crazy?” Junhyung asked. “Of course you are - how could I forget.” He quickly answered his own
question as he opened another alcohol wipe, hand reaching for the top of Hyunseung’s hoodie.

"Yah…” Hyunseung swatted away Junhyung’s hand, not allowing him to remove
the hood that he was hiding underneath.

"You’re bleeding from your eyebrow.” Junhyung tried again only to be
rejected once more. “Yah…” Hyunseung began to stand up only to be pushed back
down onto the cushion. Junhyung stared at him, slight irritation running from the
stubborn person. “Either you stay still with your own effort or I’ll personally pin you
down.” A few seconds passed with no movement from Hyunseung. Junhyung assumed
the other took his words into consideration as he decided to continue with his lack in
nursing skills. “Okay?” Junhyung’s voice lowered in pitch, hands moving back
towards the hood that Hyunseung depended on. He slowly pulled the hood back,
fingers carefully moving the dark fringe to reveal more scars and a pair of eyes that
were staring at the objects in his hand.

"Hurry then.” Junhyung’s attention stayed on the round pair of eyes.
He didn’t understand why he’d been wanting to see those eyes up close. And to his
delight, there they were in plain view for him. Hyunseung looked up, eyes meeting
those of Junhyung’s as curiosity in his sudden lack of movement got the better of
him. Junhyung coughed, realizing that this person was in fact a human and
not a statue that he can just look at. Junhyung cleared his mind as he continued
cleaning the rest of the cuts.

They both stayed quiet, the ticking clock on the wall providing the only ambience.
Junhyung looked through the box of band aids, deciding that the unicorn one
was indeed the right choice. “Okay.” His face stayed expressionless yet he couldn’t
help but smile on the inside. “Now, I hope that this is the last time we see each other.”

"I don’t think that’s possible.” Junhyung’s froze, eyes slowly moving towards
the covered ones.

"What’s not possible?” Junhyung swallowed, mind if possible
confused even more.

"Getting in trouble, with you… I have to see you.” Hyunseung knew better
then to talk but he had no other choice. He couldn’t accept that this was the
end of the line for the two.

Junhyung looked to the side, noticing that the time was getting close to midnight.
He silently exhaled, beats in chest finding an odd rhythm
to play from the situation.
“What you’re saying is,” Junhyung watched the hand on the clock, mind trying to
wrap around the others words. “You get in trouble just to see me?” His eyes made
their way back onto the boy not believing what he was currently speaking.

"Yeah… ” Hyunseung sighed.

"But, why? What’s the purpose of me hurting you for?” Junhyung’s eyebrows
narrowed, head titling with confusion. He couldn’t believe he was having a
conversation with this person. He should have never been here. He should have
left the boy in the cold and not cared but he couldn’t find himself
leaving now. A spark of curiosity seemed to run through him.

"Because-“ Hyunseung barely spoke out.

“Because why?” Junhyung began to get impatient. He could almost feel the
answer as it felt so close.

“Because it’s the only way you’ll notice me.” The room fell silent
for yet another time. Junhyung’s expression showed confusion with
just a slight hint of interest as midnight neared on.

"But,” Junhyung let out a small laugh, unsure what else
to do. “Why do you need me to notice you?” Junhyung’s breath froze,
body tensing up once Hyunseung’s eyes landed on his. Sharp, piercing gaze
made its way toward Junhyung causing all else around him to become
unworthy. Time, if it hadn’t already managed to stop for a few brief moments.
Eyes open and heart wide awake as a pair of lips fit themselves over those
of Junhyung’s. Junhyung stared at Hyunseung’s closed ones, mind in complete
shock. Goosebumps rose over his entire skin upon the feeling of Hyunseung’s hand
grazing itself gently over his cheek. Junhyung felt his eyes flutter;
unsure of whether to shut them or continue on though he
felt them getting heavier by the second.

The squeaking of the bed was the next thing Junhyung managed to
comprehend. A gush of air rushed past him upon Hyunseung’s leave.
Junhyung quickly turned his body, just in time to see the door of the
office shut closed. His eyes shut, body leaning itself
against the frame of the bed. “What the-“

"You!” Junhyung’s eyes shot open at the realization of the owner’s voice.
He ran to the door, eyes skimming down the dark halls. “You think you’ll get past me?”
A big, burly man clung onto Hyunseung, dragging him to an unknown destination.
“What’s your name punk?” Junhyung jumped towards the man, ramming his shoe into
his back. “What the hell?” The man stumbled over, releasing Hyunseung in addition.
Hyunseung looked up, tinted face and shocked eyes meeting those of Junhyung’s.

Without hesitation, Junhyung grabbed Hyunseung’s hand and pulled him up to his
feet. The two of them ran down the opposite end of the hall, hurring from the man.

"Yah you twerps!” The man got back to his feet, stomach bouncing
around as he ran to catch up with the duo.

"Dude, hurry.” Junhyung spoke, huffing for air as they made
their way through the entrance of the school and down the stage
of concrete steps.

"You guys are done for when I catch you.”

Junhyung dragged Hyunseung into the garden area of the school, pushing both bodies
into the first bush he saw. “Shh…” They both heaved for air as their backs
hit against the wall, bodies huddling up and staying as quiet as possible.
Junhyung couldn't help but look next to him, Hyunseung unable to take his eyes off the ground.

"Lookie, lookie.” The man walked past them and continued on straight
ahead towards the other end of the garden which led to an exit.

"He’s a school guard… you, you attacked him-” Hyunseung whispered,
eyes wide and self in total confusion.

"Yeah, and? You would have been expelled if he caught you.”
Junhyung dropped his head back against the wall, eyes closing as he
regained his composure. “What the hell is going on?” He spoke half thinking.

Hyunseung began squirming awkwardly, Junhyung unable to not look. He couldn't help but
roll his eyes, cautiously standing up once he believed the coast was clear. Hyunseung as well stood
but only to begin walking the way they came from.

"Yah-" Junhyung followed behind, the other finding no need to stop.

"What are you doing?" Hyunseung asked, noticing Junhyung wasn't getting the memo.

"Which way do you live?” Junhyung asked to only quickly regret. But knowing Junhyung, he gave himself
an excuse for asking such a question.

Hyunseung stayed quiet, words impossible to be spoken as he continued

walking. He couldn't understand why he was getting asked such a question.

"It’s no way.” Hyunseung mustered out.

"Either you tell me or-" Junhyung stopped speaking once he
noticed Hyunseung stop walking.

"Is this necessary?” Hyunseung asked as he began to walk
again, eyes making sure to never ever look back.

"Seeing it’s you, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got murdered
on your way home. Just taking a precaution, I guess.” Junhyung casually stated while continuing
following the boy. “Oh…” He stared at Hyunseung's back, eyes amusingly watching him.
“If you try to kiss me again, I’ll personally have to kill you.” Junhyung found himself laughing.
“But then again, it’s not as if you’d listen to me, right?” Junhyung sped his pace, shoulder
meeting that of Hyunseung. “So threating you is pretty much pointless.”
Hyunseung stopped - Junhyung stopped.

“What?” Junhyung asked. Hyunseung furrowed his eyebrows as his pace quickly escalated.

- The End -

Just kidding...  There's still a long ways to go -
                                                                                                                                                                                  : )

Chapter 2: I've mixed feeling for this chapter, first of all I wanna scream on junhyung and joon for treating hyunseung in such a harsh manner. But still, the slight interaction between junseung made my heart flutter. :) Hyunseung mom is an angel, really, her support for her son made me fall in love with her character. In the end, the chapter was really good.
Thanx a lot for updating, I miss junseung
