Reaching out a hand she touches a fingertip to his nose. Smiling sadly, her eyes concentrating on the simple touch, she lightly trails her finger down the bridge of his nose. As her hand slowly moves, his handsome face comes into view again. He is awake. Gentle eyes are looking into hers, her fingertip still touching his nose. With a sigh, she is about to move, when he in return grabs her hand and lovingly kisses her fingertip, his eyes never leaving hers. He slowly reaches out and runs his thumb over her lips, before leaning over and replacing it with his own lips.
 

“Why didn’t you stop it?” tears were now spilling down her cheeks.

He reaches out to wipe away her tears but she backs away, afraid of his touch. Refusing to keep the distance between, he swiftly pulls her to him and holds her tight.

“N-no” she tries to protest, her voice shaking. She tries to struggle her way out of the warmth of his arms but he won’t let her. His arms are like chains, preventing her from escaping him and their love. Tired and weak she stops fighting and simply weeps into his chest.

Breathing in her scent, he buries his head in her neck. His own heart is breaking into million of pieces because of his own pain and the pain he is causing her.

Then he silently admits, “I didn’t think you wanted me to”.
 

“I now pronounce you husband and wife”

I recently rewatched a bunch of old TVB dramas and was hit with a huge wave of nostalgia, so I decided to give this story another go. I posted it on winglin once but never got beyond the second chapter, so let's see how far I will reach this time. Please feel free to provide criticism or feedback. To be honest - this won't be perfect or even good, but I will try to at least finish it.
