Description

In which Kyungsoo finds trouble in the act of smiling, and Jongin finds it hard to believe that his regular customer doesn't know what happiness means.

Foreword

Kyungsoo lived in a mesh world of black and white.

The hours were minutes too long, and his days were filled with the same routine repeating only over and over.

It was tiring. It was boring, but that was all Kyungsoo really knew how to do. He didn't really have any special talents, and no unique qualities either. Everything in his existence had always been dull and repetitive, was that really how he was supposed to live?

So on days that had dark skies and rain pouring down, the doe eyed male would make his way to the cafè down the road from his apartment. It was apart of his daily schedule, to get his coffee and bagel, since he was too busy to make them himself (and also the fact that he rarely brought groceries home).

The workers knew him, and no one quite wanted to deal with his attitude that was more on the 'let me wallow in my own self pity' and sometimes the occasional 'please go die' side. He didn't really blame them either. No, especially when he would snap if his favourite spot was taken or something close to that.

But when one of the rookie workers get thrown on to deal with Kyungsoo, the tan lean boy doesn't mind. In fact, he very much shows that when he skips over to slip into the booth Kyungsoo sits at—alone—and starts chatting him up.

He's young, no doubt. And a little bit stupid, maybe. And despite the scowl on his lips every time  'don't call me what my name tag says. Call me Jongin' appears, he secretly finds himself wishing he continues coming back each time Kyungsoo returns.

But the older will protect his pride and just say that it's the coffee that's making him this way.
