Chapter 2
The Persuit of HappinessThe wedding hall was different than what I had thought. Everything wasn't in the traditional white, but instead a flattering purple.
"Book!" someone squealed behind me, it was no one else but my sister.
I smiled ask I pulled her in for a hug.
She looked beautiful. Her hair was halfway pinned up with curls that draped her shoulders nicely, makeup was delicate yet slightly daring, and her dress was absolutely gorgeous.
"It's been a while, sis. Congratulations." She smiled. But it wasn't real. I could tell something was going on. "Sis, wanna have a little chat before the ceremony?"
She cocked her eyebrow with a knowing look and pointed to the back patio.
"What is it?" She said a bit agrivated.
The breeze was nice outside, and I could finally breath.
"You have a cigarette? I'm dying." She pulled a pack out of her handbag and handed one to me.
"You must be clean today." She smirked as she lit it for me, turning to light her own.
"Of course I am! Only because it's you anyways."
