Anagrams
Orion and Macy's Cipher GuideHi guys, Macy here. I’m gonna explain to you how to use anagrams. In chapter one of Revive, Hyuk uses an anagram to figure out the killer in one of our Cipher Peaks books.
Although Hyukkie kinda ruined the ending for Hongbin, anagrams are a clever and fun way to rearrange letters to hide names and messages.
An anagram are defined as a word or phrase formed by reordering the letters of another word or phrase. An example of this is say you have the phrase:
ORION IS A GOOBER
Hey!
You can rearrange it to say something like
BOOGIE SON OR AIR
That doesn’t make any sense
It doesn’t have to make sense, as long as the ending phrase has the same letters as the original. Anagrams can be complete nonsense so they become harder to decode. Try making your own anagrams with this.
Solving an anagram can be a little harder. To solve one, figure out the intention of the person who wrote the anagram to begin with. Then look at all the possibilities of what the anagram can be and choose which one fits the situation.
And when all else fails, just use an anagram solver.
I guess that works if you wanna take all the fun out of it. Good luck with chapter one’s anagram and we’ll see you all later.
