Hanbin

 

Hanbin's walking down the street, the memories of yesterday's night surfacing in his mind. He despises himself for having done what he did yesterday. For having opened up Ara. He hates the fact that she knows so much of him, from the photo to finding out who the person on it actually is. He didn't want anyone to know, especially the fact that even after years later, it still matters to him like fresh scars. He slapped a hand across his cheek hoping the memories would wash away but it didn't.

He enters the dorm making a solemn statement of never seeing Ara ever again. No one was in the dorms and Hanbin quickly takes a shower before heading directly to the training center. On his way, he keeps on shaking his head wishing the memories of yesterday piled up in his mind would disappear.

``Where have you been?`` Bobby asks Hanbin as soon as he sees him enter the dance practice room. 

``Mom's'' Hanbin replies considering what Ara had said to Yunhyeong last night. ``I overslept. Sorry``

``Aww mama's boy`` Junhoe mocked as he makes some Micheal Jackson's dance moves.

After three hours of intense practice, they all take a break. Bobby walks once again towards Hanbin, asking him the same question.

``Where have you been yesterday?``

Hanbin looks over at him, trying to figure out if he knows or not. 

``I already said where I was``

He didn't want to lie, especially not to Bobby, his bestfriend who's like a brother, but he couldn't tell him. Couldn't tell him that he got drunk, kissed a girl and slept on the same bed as her. It was something Hanbin wished to forget, not something he wanted every person to find out. And more than that, he didn't want to bring back the memories of what happened years ago, of Junseo. It wasn't the right time.

``I called your mother yesterday`` Bobby states, his voice calm but yet with a visible hint of disappointement. 

``Why?``

``She asked me how you were doing. If you were with her, she wouldn't have asked that. I covered you up saying you were tired and sleeping. So tell me, where were you?``

“Why did you call my mom?” Hanbin inquires avoiding his questions. He knew he was caught.

"You texted Yunhyeong and not me which is weird. So I called her to make sure that everything was fine” Hanbin sighs as he remembers Ara saying that she had texted Yunhyeong. Damn it, everyone knows that I would have texted Bobby first.  Hanbin was at loss of words. He didn't know wether he should profess the truth or improvize something credible.  “Were you with Ara?” Bobby suddenly asks as he sees that Hanbin won't give him any proper answer.  “No, why the hell would I be with her” he lies, words stumbling out of his mouth rapidly. “I just wanted to be alone so I went to some places to get inspiration for songs”  Bobby didn't reply.
