„So, Hae, how have you been?“ My brother smiles at me.

„Oh, nothing new Donghwa. But let's not talk about me, how's your marriage life going?“

Me and my brother were having a nice dinner at a new restaurant, just to catch up on our lives. He moved out 5 months ago due to marriage. He now has a lovely wife by the name of YuJin, and they are living in a nice apartment.

He's very young for marriage, in my opinion. He's only 25, 2 years older than me. For me, that is young, but I guess he really loves her.

„It's going good Hae, she's amazing. Our relationship is really healty and there are no fights. Everything is usual. You have to come by and visit us.“

„I will, I promise.“ I smile.

„Did you meet anyone?“

„Ah, you know how it is bro. Not a lot of gay guys in Korea... well, I can't find one. And I do have standards. But, I guess it would be nice to meet someone.“

„You will, you're really handsome.“

The waiter comes to us with our food, we thank him as we leave.

„Wow, it looks good. Were you here before?“ He asks me.

„No, it's new. But it's good that it's not crowded.“

„Exactly. It's best like this.“

We were sharing small talk and slowly eating our food. We were laughing and having fun, just like always. I do miss him, a lot, but if he's happy, I'm happy.

The restaraunt is nice, it had smiple design. It wasn't fancy, but it also wansn't run down. It had a nice balance between the two.

Just as I was talking to my brother I hear someone choking. I immediatly drop my utensiles and look for the person in trouble.
There he is! Why isn't anyone helping?! The girl is just laughing at him! What's wrong with people? Nobody is paying attention to him, the poor guy might die.

I know I have to do something. I get up as fast as I can and grab him. I pull him up and get behind him.

„I'll save you sir.“ I say in a panic.

I grab him tightly and begin to perform the Heimlich maneuver. No matter how hard I do it, the poor guy keeps choking. He won't die on my arms! I won't let that! This is not about being heroic, this is about saving a poor soul from dying.

Finnaly his coughing stops, he's breathing heavily and speaks up. „Stop! What are you doing!?“

„I'm helping you!“ I release him and stand next to him. „Are you okay?“

„Why wouldn't I be okay?“ He looks angry. Why? I was saving his life!

„You were choking! I saved your life, you should be thankful!“

„Choking? I was laughing, moron!“

Oh... oh! Oh no. „L-Laughing?“

„Yes!“

I look at him with my mouth wide open. We stare at eachother for too long.

I slightly bow to him. „Enjoy your meal sir.“ And in a hurry go back to my table.

I see Donghwa not being able to breathe from laughing.

„I hope you choke.“ I spit at him.

He finnaly regains his breath. „That was hilarious!“

„Shut up! It's not my fault! Who laughs like that? It's scary! It's like-„ I imitate his laugh.

„He's looking at you.“ Donghwa states.

I freeze up and look towards his table, and just as he said, he's looking at me angrily. I just smile and nod at him. He rolls his eyes and gets back to his meal.

„You're a moron.“ Donghwa laughs at me.

„Funny, he said that too.“

„Smart guy.“

I roll my eyes. „Just eat!“

He gives me a last laugh and eats his meal in silence, occasionaly snickering at me.

„Hae,“ he says quietly. „You should go and apolgize.“

„For what? For saving his life?“

He glares at me. „No, for awkwardly humping him in a restaurant.“

„I. Tought. He. Was. Choking.“ I grit out.

„You tought! He wasn't! Look,“ He nods his head, showing me to look behind me. „He's right there. Apologize, before he leaves.“

„No. I don't have a reason to apologize!“

„Donghae.“ He threatans. „I'm older, my word is law here.“

„I'm 23, that doesn't work on me anymore.“

„If you don't apologize, I'll show him the video of you crying during Titanic! Or tell him about how you love Nemo!“

„I don't care.“

He looks at me with a bored expression. „You really think I'm bluffing? Really? Think about it, you have 10 seconds.“

I just shrug at his stupid threats.

„10..9... 8... 7... 6... 5...“ he prepares himself to get up. „4... 3... 2..“

„Fine! I'll do it.“ I get up and make my way towards the guy.

I turn around to look at Donghwa, he just gives me thumbs up as encouragement.

The guy noticed me and flinches. „What do you want?“

„I'm sorry. For... humping you. I really tought you were choking.“

He chuckles. „I guess my laugh is really bad then. You really tought that? It really sounded like I was choking?“

„Nah, It's fine. I guess I should stop laughing in public places.“

„Don't, you have a cute smile. I was just being an idiot.“ I realise what I just said. „I-I I mean... laughing is healthy! It helps building abs!
