Kai's parents died when Kai was just a few months old or so he thought. Kai has no family or relatives whatsoever. He has been in foster care ever since he was a baby till he was 17. He was always a weird child in the eyes of many. He didn't see things the way others see them. He was "special". Kai never really knew the outside world for kids in foster care are not allowed to leave the foster home unless they were adopted. He had never taken 5 steps outside the foster home, not even once. He only saw the outside world in the books that the social worker bought him. He saw the world through the eyes of the authors. Finally when he was reaching 16 years old, he decided to leave. He started saving up money from doing odd jobs at the foster home and finally the day came. Everything fell according to plan. He ran and ran and ran to escape from the demons at the foster home.
