Screaming, I hear screaming. The high pitched horror movie kind of shriek. Distantly in the back of my mind I realize that this bone chilling noise is coming from me. Slowly, almost timidly, my conscious crawls back to the front of my mind.

I look down at my hands registering that they are red. At the sight of them I abruptly squelch the horrid noise scratching its way out of my throat. I try to observe my surroundings, but it seems as if everything is floating through water. I quickly blink the tears out of my eyes and then feel a prick of pain shoot up my spine.

Realizing that Junhyung was also in the car with me, I hastily glance at the driver’s seat. I see his hunched figure give a sudden tremble and slowly turn my way. Seeing his blood shot eyes I give a relieved sigh. He’s alive, and that’s the most I could’ve hoped for.

He was searching my face for anything horribly wrong, but we both had survived. With injuries yes, but we’re alive none the less. I open my mouth about to say something, but he abruptly cuts me off.

“We’re alive.” he says with a half wavering voice.

“Yes, yes we are.” I reply with a bittersweet smile.
