Yes... and no.
Sure, she saw him in the flesh every day, but Jungkook hardly provided any form of acknowledgement towards her presence. Not even a cursory nod. There was no hint of a closer friendship, no clue that they had ever corresponded during the holidays.
Weeks went by and Hyeri had no idea how to proceed. The truth is, love is a game and Hyeri knew that. She weighed her options, calculated her every move but always ended with nothing. The mental block was incredibly frustrating.
“If only that god forsaken, gorgeous boy would just text me!” Hyeri groaned one night.
The next morning, the staring started. It begun with occasional glances. They’d be walking past each other, and Jungkook would catch Hyeri’s glance. His unwavering stare was unnerving. Behind his cool, glassy orbs, was a mystery that Hyeri prayed to unravel. The first couple of days, Hyeri was always the one who looked away first, her cheeks flushed, her heart fluttering. It quickly morphed into unabashed staring. The tension between the two pairs of eyes was incredible and it was quite a miracle that no one noticed. Hyeri got braver and held the stare for longer, and they took turns being the first to look away. There was something exciting yet completely mind boggling about their current arrangement. Was there something going on between them or not?
To say the least, Hyeri was utterly confused.
“Dear God, please give me a sign.” Hyeri was pushing
