“Eat.”

Seulgi  ignored her. She kept her head low, refusing to acknowledge the girl next to her.

“Eat.”  

The girl repeated more forcefully. Almost commanding.

Seulgi kept her silence; mindlessly scribbling in her sketchpad. She heard a sigh escape the girl’s mouth before she heard her say,  

“Whatever,”

A tray of food was angrily slammed onto the desk. Seulgi remained unaffected by the action, having grown immune to it for the past two months.

“Not like I care anyways,” the girl bitterly spat before leaving the room.

Seulgi turned and looked at the food, smirking to herself as she knew she was victorious.

“Wake up,” her stepsister’s voice rung out

Seulgi ignored the girl and continued to sleep, pulling the blankets closer to her body.

“I said, wake up,” the voice repeated, audibly annoyed

Seulgi didn’t stir, that was not until she felt the blanket being completely yanked off her.

“HEY!” she shouted as she sat up from her bed. She suddenly felt the cold winter wind blowing into the room. Her stepsister had made sure to open all the windows before she rudely interrupted her slumber. Seulgi couldn’t help her teeth from chattering as she shivered. Her stepsister noticed this and stood there snickering at the young girl’s misfortune.

“I told you to wake up,” the girl sassed

“I-I d-don’t take o-orders from y-you,” Seulgi retorted between her shivers   

“ Tch,” was all the girl said before tossing the blanket back onto the bed. She turned and walked out without closing the door.

“Damn, you Irene,” Seulgi cursed, grabbing the blanket and covering herself. She tried to go back to sleep but she couldn’t. She lost. She was wide awake now. She groaned and cursed once more,  

“Damn, you Irene Bae.”

“AHHHHHH!” a piercing scream cried out in the early morning

Seulgi quickly scrambled out of her stepsister’s room, holding back her laugh

“KANG SEULGI! ” she heard Irene shriek her name.

She quickly ran into her own room and bolted the door, barricading it with a chair.

Seulgi finally bursted into the laughter that she held back.

She had decided to repay Irene for waking her up so graciously the other morning. And so, she thought,  what better way to repay her kind stepsister than waking her up with breakfast in bed?
