In The Heart Of The Sea

Description

"In the Navy, you've only got 3 choices in life. You can give up, give in or give it all you've got."

Min Yoojung has always wanted to join the Navy of the Republic of Korea. Sure, she seemed to be one of those who would pursue Pharmacy or Medicine, but for those who knew her better, it was just a supression to keep her family hopeful for her future.

It all started with her older brother, Min Yoongi, who was well on his way to becoming a sergent in the Navy. He was like an "ideal son". Despite his wonky character, it was difficult to deny that he had everything; charisma, talent and intelligence. With that, he soon started to become Yoojung's role model and had unknowingly shaped how she sees the world today.

What will Yoojung's life become once she "signs her life away" to defend her country? Will her life change for the better or for the worst? Will it become a real passion or will it be one of life's many regrets?

This is a story of a typical 18-year-old teenage girl chasing her dreams, discovering her true self and being exposed to the world out there.

"Your life is your oyster." Was the saying true? Or was it something more?

Foreword

Hello readers!

I'm back with another fanfiction and this will be a BTS centred story, with original characters. On my part, I have always wanted to join the Navy. Until today, I have absolutely no idea why I wanted to do so and am still wondering whether I should pursue my dreams or not. ^^; Hence, I decided to write this fanfiction as I had gotten some inspirations from a career fair that was organized in my school recently and they did feature the Navy Seals of my country. Despite the fact that it was probably meant for the boys, it did not stop me from finding out a little bit more about what I would be getting myself into if I joined the Navy. With that, I have decided to "write" the dream and perhaps develop a story from it. :)

Just a disclaimer, this story might not be frequently updated due to my busy schedules but I will attempt to toggle between this and Class A-Team, especially with my holidays coming up very very soon. >.< I will try my best, no doubt about that, and I hope that you will enjoy this story as much as I would enjoy writing this.

Facts might not be correct but I will do my research if I can, in order to ensure that this story is genuine and close to what really happens in our world. Please pardon me if the facts are incorrect. However, do feel free to leave a comment in the comment box below if there's anything wrong and I will get back to you as soon as I can!

With this, I hope you anticipate the story! :) Do check out my other fanfictions too, and I hope that you would enjoy them as well. ^^

Chapter 1: Your story seems interesting. I'm subscribed and waiting patiently for the first official chapter. :)
The only thing I think you should think about is the use of romanized Korean words in your story, such as "umma". It's better to just use the word mom (or something else), or you could write it this way:
"..., "umma"," as I liked to call her mom in Korean
