The sweet suite (part 2)

Aiming for the moon

---

“Dinner’s ready.”

-------

“This is amazing, Wheein-shi.”

“Thank you.”

“Do you always cook?”

“Not really.”

Moonbyul feels defeated. Whatever things she brought up, it will always be discarded down instead.

Wheein is a really stubborn person; lesson for the night.

Moonbyul seriously thought that her mood was getting better after her meeting with Seulgi, though a little bit tense, her smile was there however.

But now, it’s gone.

Again.

Is she still mad perhaps?

‘I really don’t know how to handle this. Think Moonbyul!’

The entire dinner was quiet, minus the soft Hamilton musical songs that played perfectly in the background, accompanying both women with amazing voices and music as it definitely helps to fill in the eerie silence between them.

The food is really, really good and Moonbyul really want to compliment her cooking skills, but it looks like Wheein still not in her usual cheery bubbles and Moonbyul fears that the constant compliments will eventually sound fake, and that is not the message that Moonbyul is trying to convey, at all.

So she decided to stop instead.

Her effort to strike on a conversation might be not helping at all, and absolutely not working as it seem.

Moonbyul sighed inaudibly.

She misses Wheein, wanting to be closer to her, wanting to hug her even.

‘How pathetic.’

But she feels like Wheein won’t like it the same as before anytime sooner and Moonbyul really don’t want to push her luck any further for the night; scared it would make things worst otherwise.

The chair made an unpleasant noise as it scratches the wooden floor of the dining room as Wheein, without warning, suddenly stood up, eyes still refusing to stay in touch with Moonbyul’s with her semi-empty plate in her right hand in a complete contrast with Moonbyul’s clean plate still lying comfortably across the table in front of them.

Moonbyul’s eyes followed her beautiful fiancée closely and opened slightly in surprise with the sudden movement.

“I’m full.”

“Oh, me too.” Moonbyul quickly stood as well with a kind smile directed obviously to the woman standing stiffly and opposite of her and Wheein can feel her heart whimpered lightly with affections upon seeing the warm expression of the taller one.

She nodded awkwardly as she turned quite swiftly and in turn walked towards the kitchen area, leaving the presence of her another soul behind.

But soon after, not more than 5 steps ahead, Wheein can hear the woman’s light steps trailing behind her, following her and Wheein unconsciously smiled on her own.

She may not be in her great-self right now, but she has to admit; Moonbyul’s adorable antics to make her smile are such a loving scene to be seen and again, though Wheein’s expression appeared indifferent, on the inside however, Wheein is constantly melting with love every time her fiancée does something extra to make her happy and that really, is a good wife material there.

Wheein blushes openly but hidden from the taller girl’s view, fortunately.

She quickly headed towards the sink with her plate balanced in her hand, still ignoring the presence of the other one in the kitchen that seem to be stubbornly sticking to her in the back – though very welcomed, it really does take a slight toll in Wheein seeing the heavy guilt plastered across her fiancée’s innocent face.

Wheein knows it wasn’t the girl’s fault behind her childish behaviour and Wheein slowly heals her own heart thinking about the other one, slowly warming up back again and ready to actually eliminate the sadness and the burden her fiancée carried patiently all night long.

Wheein is not the type of girl who apologizes first; she’s a good person but an awkward one to be honest.

She is clearly not Hyejin, to possess such girl’s confidence and boldness to admit when she has done something wrong are quite the respectable traits to be planted.

Wheein badly wishes that she has those traits all along or right now, even but unfortunately, she doesn’t. Now, instead of saying, ‘Sorry, I’m acting like a kid. Forgive me?’, she’s currently imagining a million excuses she could come up to apologise to the older girl, knowing that she really does took it beyond the borderline tonight with her antics and the gentle woman obviously does not deserve to be treated in such ways just because Wheein has a slight problem with her self-esteem.

But before Wheein could let the words even escape from , all of the sudden she could feel a fluffy cloth pressed gently behind at her back as a pair of arms enclosed possessively and quite comfortably around her lower body on each side of her waist, trapping her small body in between the sink and as well as her fiancée’s oddly familiar warm body against her.

Byul’s chin softly made an impact with her top right shoulder and she can feel the older girl let out a tiny sigh at the same time.

‘I miss you.’

Wheein bumped the right side of her head tenderly against Byul’s left side of her head as her arms gently slide themselves along the length of the woman’s protective limbs in front of her tummy and tugged them even more tightly, wanting to pull the woman as closer as she possibly could and wanting to show her how much Wheein wanted to say sorry at the moment for acting such a spoil brat kid.

But Wheein is too shy to say it out loud, so instead she just the let the woman in, hoping that her star will get the message eventually.

And of course Moonbyul does, how can she not?

It’s the first sign ever that night that Wheein is finally reacting to any of her advancements and Moonbyul cries of happiness on the inside.

Truly, no apologies were needed from the shorter one as Moonbyul feels like the luckiest woman alive for being ever the centre of the attention behind the girl’s envy, but Wheein seem to think otherwise, as the girl is clearly having trouble to look at her in the eyes.

“I’m sorry.” Moonbyul whispered. Even if she is the one who is an inexperienced one in this relationship, asking for forgiveness now would be a wise move, even if she doesn’t know what she did wrong at the first place.

‘Good girlfriend / fiancée 101?’

Wheein stays silent and Moonbyul grows worried by the seconds.

Moonbyul waited for 5 more seconds to hear any responses but heard none in return.

‘Well, it’s now or never.’ Moonbyul thought, knowing really well that her next action could be a life-saving moment or will it be the end of her time, who knows?

Both are risky of course, but worth the effort after all, as Moonbyul wanted so badly to see that smile again gracing on the face of her angel.

Moonbyul stepped back, releasing her arms away from the stoned soul in front of her and she already misses the feelings of her fiancée’s warmth surrounding her just a milliseconds ago.

And Wheein was also taken aback with Byul’s sudden action but before she could feel disappointed with the lack of her fiancée’s body on her back, she could feel her body being turned around 180˚ by the gentlest hands ever, hesitant at first but really, no force was needed as Wheein voluntarily swirled around at the end, head on facing to the girl’s direction full blown, finally making an unblocked eye contacts with the handsome woman in which she has the privilege to call them hers.

Her eyes shaky due to the intensity of Moonbyul’s stare on her, loving yet strong, as if vacillating her sights away from the smaller woman would make her change her mind rather quickly about forgiving her and Moonbyul pinky promised herself to not ever wanting to be on the cold ends of such horrible punishments.

Little by little, Wheein’s smile has become her drugs, the one she addicted to and the one she’s not planning on stop using. She knows how dangerous she is but Moonbyul could no longer save herself from the upcoming pain she would feel beyond her control at the end of the tunnel.

‘She’s worth it.’

“I’m sorry, Wheein-shi.” Moonbyul pulled Wheein body closer, but this time – front to front with nothing to spare them the feelings of electricity flowing freely across their skin as their hearts jumped almost in the same tempo, beating rapidly as if they have been running for an hour before but both were unaware of such exchanges, at least not yet somehow.

As Moonbyul’s arms once again made their way back around Wheein’s waist, both of Wheein’s hands raised up as both of her palms pressed softly against the front of Byul’s shoulders, not pushing the woman away but rather, in a way, wanting to feel the breezy and living skin beneath the thin clothes the woman is wearing – wanting to get closer and Moonbyul smiled in return.

“I’m sorr-” but before Moonbyul could say it fully, she heard a tiny, timid voice came from across her that cut her short in the middle of her sentence.

“I’m sorry.” Wheein finally said as her eyes shone in affections with a tiny shy smile decisively observed on her beautiful face; so beautiful to look at, Moonbyul couldn’t help but to lean on slowly before closing the unwanted gap between her lips and the girl’s right cheek, caressing her blush away as Wheein’s smile broadened in results.

And as Moonbyul leaned back slowly but before completely, she nudged Wheein’s nose with her own, making sure that her fiancée is going to melt herself into a puddle of hot mess.

And she did.

Moonbyul smirked.

Wheein blushed once again, and then finally realized.

‘Did she just treat me like a puppy just now?’

------

“The suite is big.” Wheein smiled at the taller girl who is now standing outside on the balcony, as if her house wasn’t 10x much bigger than this.

It entertains Wheein greatly when she found out how easy the woman is to become overwhelmed with her surrounding; everything just seem so fascinating to her, anything new and anything old, from the people outside the fancy building to the glass plate they just washed together; nothing escapes the girl’s curiosity with everything that are basically touchable.

And Wheein likes that about her.

Wheein likes how humble Byul is, how sincere the compliments she gave and how pure her heart is when she talks. She has to admit, her fiancée is a one cute person, no one can say otherwise.

Wheein smiles on her own when she thinks about it.

Hyejin is right all along, sometimes arranged marriage is not that bad at the end. Wheein grows fonder of the dorky girl, at first she seems stiff of course; CEO of the Star group, what do you expect? A nice person with an amazing personality and not to mention – a handsome appearance to look at?

There is just no way, really.

But who is she to joke?

It was exactly her. Her Byul is that perfect and though it scares Wheein slightly to realize how amazing the girl is, she is not the one to complain anyways.

Being in the arms of that woman would be an honour.

Wheein silently stared at the woman in front of her, her Byul was still under the blanket of the night, eyes glazing over the land below her, the lights reflected back through her retina, the smell of fresh air yet polluted with the gases from the cars honking loudly around the city, the singing voice of the drunk residence echoing through the dark valleys while there she was, Wheein – still under the comforting roof of the hotel room, refused to ruin the art she is witnessing right now, right in front of her eyes; how the night wind softly blows over the woman’s hair, making it seem like they were dancing under the moonlight and her back arched comfortably, though Wheein couldn’t really see her front, no doubt her arms were once again folded over the safe of the railings as her body leans forward, resting her weight completely upon her feet and her two other limbs – satisfied with the sudden wave of calmness and happiness that have been engulfing her ever since Wheein was nearby.

Wheein thought maybe Byul didn’t want to be disturbed, they actually have been spending time together since the early afternoon today and Wheein wonders if the woman feels tired being around her all the time but before she could really ask her, Moonbyul turned around, facing her without moving her hands away from the cold metals under the grip of her skin and invited Wheein closer instead as her lips curved into an adorable smile – those that usually charm over Wheein’s heart for so many times already, she lost count.

“Come here.” She invited sweetly.

It was tiny; Wheein can’t barely catch them but the room was quiet, if you don’t include the distracting sounds they heard from the outside as the double glass doors that have been separating the balcony area and the internal space of the room apart were widely opened by none other than the taller one. ‘We should breathe in fresh air’, she said but Wheein was getting colder by the minute.

Her feet moved almost automatically forward, as if they have their brains on their own but at the same time, they kind of moved without thinking twice.

Wheein still doesn’t really know whether it was a good thing or not.

They seek warmth.

They seek tenderness.

The seek love.

They seek the woman that she is thinking; the one that is always on her mind, haunting her in a much beautiful approach, the one she will never be able to say no to, no matter how much she tried. No matter how much she fought.

But let it be losing as it meant to be winning at the end.

She moved forward slowly, meanwhile Byul waited for her, her eyes attached to her until she was right in front of her – so close to the her body, she can feel the hair of her non-sense hairless body to rise, goose bumps everywhere and it wasn’t a cold night to begin with, not for Moonbyul that is; her body felt like it was burning from the inside but seeing the smaller woman up close like this never fail to take Moonbyul’s breath away, in a very good way that is.

When she was close enough, Byul took her right hand that has been hanging lifelessly at her side, pulling it towards her, encouraging Wheein to further invade the girl’s personal space and it made Wheein felt very confused on what really happened, but trusting the woman with her own willingness as she followed along anyways until she actually realized that she was being pulled to the girl’s front, sandwiched between the railings and her fiancée’s slim body.

‘Byul really, really likes hugs huh?’

They were facing each other as her back faced the actual scenes of Paris away but she doesn’t mind.

The view in front of her is way prettier anyways and she knows how bias she sounded just now.

She just can’t help it nowadays.

The girl is stunning, there is no doubt.

She is, of course, only human, wanting to keep on staring at her fiancée’s face forever, as creepy that may look on the outside.

Her hands gripped loosely on Byul’s white blouse, in each edge of her waist as Byul’s hands, once again, grasped tightly on the rusty smelling railings on each side of Wheein’s body – as always, as it seems to be her go-to-hugging-position, confining the girl in between her loving embrace.

“So… the suite is nice.” Wheein started.

“Yeah, absolutely spectacular.”

“It has so many bedrooms though.”

“There are three master bedrooms, yes.” Moonbyul was slightly confused with the sudden turn of event and unexpected, rather irrelevant questions.

It really doesn’t bother her how many room there are in the suite as it should be with any other suites because… it’s a suite, they are meant to be big and spacious, with countless number of rooms. But Wheein seem to be taking full interest with the amount of rooms existed, so Moonbyul just opted to indulge in the girl’s weird significant attentiveness at the moment.

“Which one are you taking? You know, for the night?”

Moonbyul stared at her and Wheein, with her already fast thumping heartbeat, accumulating enough courage to actually ask the girl the absurd question… with her spontaneous plan already playing perfectly in her dirty little mind.

But, panic almost immediately washed over her when she saw how her fiancée froze for a split second with her ridiculous, busy-body nose poking around into someone else’s private life.

Not really someone else, technically. That woman is her fiancée if they were talking in the right law.

Well… asking her fiancée’s choice of room wasn’t exactly an extreme intrusion of privacy for her part but seeing the unreadable look on the older girl’ face and that itchy silence that followed by afterwards were really unsettling Wheein-not-so-calm-self and she… panics.

Without a second thought, she further exclaimed, “Because I’m really choosing the one closer to the kitchen!” She laughed nervously with the most insincere laugh she ever motored out of her small body with her awkward smiles and shaky eyeballs slowly creeping in once again around both women.

Moonbyul, finding the whole rather amusing and adorable than alarming; nodded lightly in return as she nudged her nose again with Wheein’s cold one. “I take whichever is left then.”

Wheein really adores that smile but honestly, can her fiancée take the hint any much quicker than this turtle paced results?

She needs different tactics.

‘You can do this, Wheein-ah.’

“It’s cold.”

“Really? Let me get you a blanket.”

“NO!”

Moonbyul was about to take a step away before Wheein slammed both of her palms, harshly but not enough to hurt her precious angel, against Byul’s upper arms.

“I-I mean sure, later perhaps. I’m fine now, don’t worry.”

“Okay…”

Wheein forced out a bright smile and pulled the girl closer once again into the hug.

‘Ugh, think Wheein-ah! Maybe she likes-’

“It is rather late now, is it?”

Moonbyul cut her thoughts off.

“Byul, it’s 10pm in the evening.”

If Moonbyul realized how Wheein dropped the formal name with the sudden change of her tone, fluffed with a slight annoyance, the older one didn’t say anything in return but instead, gave out the ‘yes, I know what it is right now’ look. “Yeap…”

“Are you going to sleep now?”

“Yes?”

“Is that an answer or a question?”

“I-”

“IT’S COLD.”

“Do you want me to get you a jacket?”

“No.”

“O-okay…”

“Sorry, I’m a bit cranky. It’s just that… it’s a new place and I don’t do well in new surroundings.”

“Me too.” Moonbyul agreed quickly, scared of the changing werewolf in front of her.

“I don’t sleep well too and it’s cold.”

“It’s summer-”

“I’m not going to sleep.”

“What?”

“What?”

“Did you just say you’re not going to sleep?”

“Well, I’m going to try to but no promises that I would fall asleep like a baby tonight.”

“Is it really because of the temperature?”

“No, it’s just… I don’t sleep well alone.” Wheein said in a rushed tone.

Moonbyul went into a thinking mode and her adorable scrunched face, though very, very cute to look at; it also didn’t help to ease down Wheein’s nervous bubbles on the inside.

“How do you sleep usually then when you travel?”

“I always have Hyejin with me – we shared the bed all the time.”

‘THERE! The biggest hint ever.’

“Oh.” Moonbyul looked disappointed.

‘What? Not like that!’

“Like a sister.” Wheein added swiftly.

“I see. What about at… home?”

“I sleep with my… cat.”

‘Oh my god Wheein, really? With a cat? Why don’t you just add ‘sleeping with a pack of goats along, will you? That was the worst lie that you ever came up with.’ Wheein pinched herself internally.

“That’s cute. What’s its name?”

“Fluffly… pokemon. Yes, fluffy pokemon.”

“What type of cat is fluffy pokemon?” Moonbyul cheerily asked. She likes cats, so much so!

“….a fluffy one.”

“I… see.”

“Well, maybe you could take the larger room-”

“For goodness sake Byul, your bed is big. We should, you know, just share it.”

Wheein inhaled a big amount of air after her announcement.

‘THERE!’

“P-pardon?”

“We should just share the room. You know, for warm and stuff.”

‘Hopefully, I didn’t sound too desperate just now.’

‘I just want to spend time with her.’

‘Is it wrong to want spending more time with your fiancée?’

‘Even though you just asked her, right in the face, to share a bed with you…’

‘Oh my star, what have I done?’
