Through the nights; we dance and sing;

rushed, too much adrenaline.

There’s too many people, it’s such a crowd,

but right here, I’m not sure how,

the you-effect, I’m mesmerised. 

Because, tonight, you are my prize.

 

Only imagination

that I’ll be running in much fun,

for really, I am nothing

but myself and my suffering.

The light there was, starts to fade;

I was so happy, there I once said.

 

Before the dawn, I shall not sleep,

for away time seeps, time slips.

Reality is yet to wake,

oblivion shatters and shakes

When silence comes knocking away

these weights my mind will not pay.

 

Sunlight barges through the glass,

and so another night has passed.

I’ll not succumb to darkness;

that eyes don't see, only a test.

Curtains leave under the warmth,

my night is done and now is dawn.
