The moment I woke up, I checked my phone as I usually did.. only to find that a new rumor about a new couple in the kpop industry was out, I usually wouldn't care.. my heart wouldn't usually sink deep into sadness like this, the only thing that made me shake like this was that the male idol, was my boyfriend.

I kept hesitating whether I should call him or not, that's when voices in my head started putting me down

"you didn't deserve him anyway, he was too good for you"

"she's way prettier, and she's talented too"

"he deserves her, not you."

I closed my eyes again trying to go back to sleep, I didn't want to face anybody or talk to anybody feelings like that.. I stayed in bed the whole day, I kept reading articles and checking their pictures together.. until I noticed something else, I zoomed into his hand that was lying on her shoulder, he wasn't wearing our ring.. our couple ring..

I looked at my hands, "it looks stupid anyways, I should've chosen a better one for him" I laughed to myself.. trying to bury up the pain that crushed my rib cage

I didn't cry, why should i? it all happened as I imagined, he chose a perfect idol over the very normal me.. what did I have to compete with her? Nothing.

I bit my lips as I slid down the 5th article I was reading, that gave clues that they were together for a long time now..

My throat got dry trying to swallow down the tears and the pain, so I finally got up to get water, I walked slowly to the kitchen to get water and go back to bed.. only to be greeted with a picture of the two of us, that was framed on the living room wall

I crouched down with a hand over my heart, thinking I could stop the pain that way, tears fell down and i couldn't help it anymore

I could hear keys jingling, which made me run to the bathroom to wash my face

"baby? I'm home" he said looking for me

"I'm here" I said wiping my wet face with my white towel , he came in smiling

"you just woke up? I thought you woke up a while ago!" he asked

" I just slept in today" I turned to the bathroom to put the towel away, when he grabbed my wrist

"I missed you"

"Eddy, i-"

He pulled me closer to his chest, wrapping his hand around my waist

"shh, I just wanted to hold you" he whispered

The moment we pulled away we had eye contact, and I was too weak to look into his eyes so I looked down, and before he could say anything

"where's your ring?" I asked

"I lost it in the hotel we went to for our last concert, I'm sorry!" he pouted

"but I called asking for them to look for it, they said they found it and they're sending it soon, I promise" he took my hands into his
