“It would be quite a story, for the press at least. And I don’t think you’d be able to run your business well with all that noise,” Mina feigned a smile and it somehow managed to irked the blonde sitting across the table. The young heiress swigged at her beer before setting down her now empty glass, her eyes kept still on the haughty detective who’s very well on her way off her job.

It would be a piece of cake to pull all the strings that she has as the owner of a multimillion dollar company to kick Mina off her job and to never let the girl see the light of the day, but seeing on how the latter has a friend in the press – it would probably be much better for Momo to deal with her in person. She already had enough dirt in her hands.

Momo finally rose up from her seat and slowly made her way towards Mina. “You’re quite ballsy Miss Myoui. I don’t like your attitude.”

“Is that a threat?”

“What I’m saying here Miss Myoui, I’d like to offer you a deal to get your mouth shut.”

“I don’t take bribes, if that’s what you’re going at.”

“Did I say that I was going to give you one?” Momo scoffed. “I’ll help you get information in return for a favor.”

“Let’s pretend that I’m going along with this, what favor are you asking me of Miss Hirai?”

“Correction, it is you who would be willingly do me a favor.” “Free my name off the case and let’s pretend that we’ve never even met.”

“You’re still a suspect Miss Hirai and I do think that you’re the murderer. Do you think I’m that stupid--“

“Yes, I do in fact. And do you think someone of my status is stupid enough to let a body lying around after killing someone?”

“That still doesn’t make you innocent.”

“For a pretty face you’re pretty dumb.”

“Excuse me?”

“I’m giving you till tomorrow to consider my offer or we can both go down together, whichever you like. I’m pretty sure your senior officers would be delighted to hear that you’ve met a suspect in private and enjoyed a pint of beer together hmm?”

It was Momo’s turn to smile as she pointed a finger up to the security camera blinking above the bar and Mina cussed to herself at this, chewing her bottom lip distastefully. “I hope to hear from you soon then. Till next time.”
