Jinyoung POV

‘Are you okay?’

I look at a boy who is gripping both of my arms holding me from falling.

Thin layer of ice never failed to make me fall.

It was too slippery.

‘Yes, I’m okay. Thank you.’

I said once I landed safely in my feet.

It's the same boy from days before.

The boy dress a little bit too thin for winter.

Just a single jacket and gloves.

His nose and ears fully red from the cold.

‘Be careful next time. You would hurt yourself.’

‘Okay.’

He gives me a smile before ruffling my hair.

‘Good. I must to go now. Take care okay? Bye.’

‘Bye.’

I muttered when his back getting smaller and smaller.

I can catch his name wrote in his backpack.

‘Jackson! Why you’re still wearing that backpack?’

‘Why? It still useable.’

Jackson put his old bag carefully.

‘It’s been in’ 5 years you wear that. It’s too ugly I can’t even see it.’

‘But, it’s yours.’

‘It was mine I know. But look at this. You need to buy the new one.’

Jackson just smile.

‘When it can’t be use anymore, Mark. I would buy the new one.’

Mark sighs.

‘Did you never ashamed? It has my name on it. The big and ugly one to be mention.’

‘I don’t have money to buy one, Mark.’

With that Mark can’t say anything.

He gave his backpack to Jackson five years ago. It simply because he doesn’t want it anymore when a girl wrote his name uglily.

He almost knocks it to trash bin when Jackson ask him.

He doesn’t know Jackson will wear it everyday until this day.

If he know he wouldn't give it to Jackson.

‘I’ll give you the new one for your birthday present.’

‘You know I can’t pay you back in your birthday right?’

‘No need, I almost have everything. You know it.’

‘Can I choose it then?’

Mark snickers.

That the reason he best friend with Jackson until now.

‘Of course.’

‘Take it please. I made it myself.’

Jinyoung hand a lunch box to Mark.

The girls snort at him.

Mark Tuan is very popular student.

Being rich and blessed with handsome face just make him being the top.

He has tons of fans.

This is the first time Jinyoung give him lunch box.

Ever since that day Jinyoung always keep a track to Mark Tuan.

But, he’s not brave enough to show himself in front of Mark.

Being too shy if Mark remembers him as a boy who almost falls because of snow.

But when he become older and believe that Mark won’t be notice him.

Here he is showing himself in front of Mark with his lunch box as an excuse to see him.

‘Just put it there.’

Mark said without looking at Jinyoung.

He’s focused in his game phone.

Jinyoung look at pile of present in Mark’s table and decided to put his in the floor next to Mark’s backpack.

He quickly leaves, feeling  small with others stare at him.
