Seoul National University has this tradition wherein the first two weeks of school will be allotted for an annual activity between the freshmen and the seniors. During this event, a person from each batch will be paired up together where the senior will get to order the freshman around doing whatever he or she may want. Basically, as a two-week slave doing their homework, buying them food, running other errands for them and whatnot. The sad part for the first years though is that whoever does not comply with the tradition will be succumbed to grave consequences.

It is just Jung Ha's luck that she is paired up with the school's kingka Oh Sehun. And by luck, with Jung Ha's personality, she meant it in a sarcastic way. There would be a lot of people wanting to exchange places with her however, the rule is that once you have been chosen, you cannot back out. She wanted to enter college unnoticed and being paired with a kingka will ruin her chances of becoming a wallflower. She cannot deny the fact that seeing her partner up close brought butterflies in her stomach. Still, that was that and she didn't have any plans of associating herself with him other than the event they had to comply with.

An attractive girl who lives a happy life without relationships and commitments.

She's an incoming freshman at Seoul National University. Jung Ha comes from a broken family with her mom working abroad to sustain her needs. She's an only child who lives alone, making her used to doing things on her own. Most people perceive her as a cold-hearted person but the truth is she just looks strong on the outside but she's heavily vulnerable on the inside. She is smart, she doesn't like it when she gets bad grades. She loves dressing and fixing herself up but she does it for herself and not in order to look good in front of others. She's dated several people but she's never had a relationship because she thinks relationships are messy and most importantly because she's scared of commitment.

Oh Sehun (21 years old)

The type-of-person who ridiculously, painstakingly looks godly even without doing anything.

He's an incoming senior at Seoul National University. A typical kingka who is rich, both in terms of money and in the number of girls following him. He loves his family to death and would do anything to protect and please them. He was heatbroken from a 3-year relationship with his highschool sweetheart that turned him to believe that love doesn't exist. For this reason, he changed from being the loyal boyfriend to a usual playboy. He doesn't take interest in girls seriously after what happened with his long time ex-girlfriend, Park Sora.

Kim Myungsoo (21 years old)

A best friend in love.

Jung Ha's best friend since their preadolescence years is an incoming senior student at Yonsei University. Myungsoo, also known as L is one of the kingkas at his school. He is rich, has many girls following him, but oblivious to them as he only focuses his attention towards Jung Ha. He has confessed to her numerous times only to be rejected because she still isn't ready to be in a relationship. He is protective of her and will do anything she asks for. L is aloof and reserved to other people except Jung Ha and Sumin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Baek Sumin (19 years old)

The other best friend in love.

Sumin was a transferee from China during gradeschool where she met her best friends Jung Ha and Myungsoo. Currently, she is also an incoming senior student at Yonsei University. She is a happy-go-lucky, cheerful and outgoing type-of-person who does not worry about anything and always goes with the flow of life. She discreetly loves Myungsoo even though she knows that he is in love with Jung Ha. She tries to go out with different guys because she knows that she doesn't have a chance of making Myungsoo fall in love with her. She goes to parties frequently and meets different guys weekly.

 

Park Sora (21 years old)

The cause of Sehun's playboy-ness, if that's a word so to speak.

She is a queenka, Sehun is a kingka. And being a queenka in most cases entails having a kingka as a boyfriend. Sehun was there, he was pursuing her and he was convenient hence, she gave their "relationship" a try. For 3 years, she was happy with what they have. However, she felt something was missing. Sora didn't want to surrender to the pressure of being a queenka anymore. She didn't want the attention, she didn't want to fake her poise, she just wanted to become a normal student in her last year in college. She felt as if Sehun and her were nothing more than just being compatible. She felt like they were just in it for the convenience and not because of love.
