“Shi Woo!” Woo Bin’s voice started everyone in the class and they all turned to look at the said Shi Woo who just woke up from a daze.

“Do you understand today’s lecture?” Woo Bin’s voice was so deep and stern that even the other students who weren’t zoning out got a little jumpy.

“Hmm wha? “ The student took a few moments to clear his mind before looking completely disinterested.

“Nah I wasn’t listening, I swear this only happens in your class, I wonder why” the student said sarcasticly.

“I see” came the reply in a cold and calm voice.

“Well it’s not your fault this seems to happen frequently whenever things get a little . . . heavy for your mind” Woo Bin had a tiny smirk on his face as he finished his sentence.

“It’s sort of like a defense mechanism you know, but it’s totally alright don’t feel ashamed; someday you might be able to catch up with the rest of the class” with that said Woo Bin shifted his attention from his troublesome student and continued his lecture.

“Alright guys since you have the next week off the read the next chapter before coming here, next lecture were going to talk about cellular respiration that’s chapter 8” as soon as Woo Bin said that groans and disapproving looks were directed his way.

“I know I know you all want to spend you week off watching movies and playing games, believe me I do know how that feels but you have to work with me here, I can’t help you if you don’t even try” Woo Bin’s voice was truly apologetic and he also managed a small smile.

“dismissed” and like that Woo Bin was free to go home, free to hole up in his room and waste his 9 days off playing ‘Dynasky’ like the lonely he is.

Woo Bin went grocery shopping and basically swept whatever he might need to ‘survive’ his temporary retreat from the outside world.

“I’m home” he mumbled to no one as he made his way inside his apartment, he closed the door with his foot not bothering to lock it before walking lazily to his bedroom.

He sat down on his rotating chair, placed the grocery bags by his sides and his laptop.

‘Let see, who’s online? ‘ He thought after he logged in under his account “Heung Soo”.

‘The idiot isn’t online? I see he finally got a life’ he scoffed as he thought about the guy who showed up out of the blue one day, messed his progress and leveled up to his level in an alarmingly short time.

Woo Bin didn’t want to admit it but he is perhaps as addicted to ‘Dynasky’ as that guy but in his defense he has a stable job and he is committed to it unlike this guy who is always online whenever he logs in, that is up until now.

A series of Bing sounds caught his attention and woke him up from his ‘flash back’ thoughts.

‘Oh damn it, it’s her again’ Woo Bin thought as he rolled his eyes and opened the messages Himepi sent him.

[Himepi: it’s been a while since you last logged in]

[Himepi: aaaaand I might have kinda mentioned you in a good light to my fellowship]

[Himepi: yes I can do that]

[Himepi: well . . . sometimes]

[Himepi: alright I’ll just get to it]

[Himepi: would you join my fellowship if I invited you?]

[Himepi: the others, they’re really good and they need someone like you]

[Himepi: please check their profiles and get back at me]

[Himepi: I know you’re there]

[Himepi: geeeetbaaaackaaaatmeeee]

[Himepi: HURRY!]

[Himepi: so how did you find them? Hmm?]

[Himepi: they’re good right? I told you so]

‘Wha- huh? Sigh that girl is trouble, what’s she after this time?’ Woo Bin learned not to completely trust Himepi because she tricked him so many times and sometimes even manipulated him into doing her dirty work for FREE.

Normally he would just ignore invitations to fellowships because they usually drag him down and are either newbies or unreliable, however if there’s one thing he knows about that girl is that she takes this game seriously

Woobin doesn’t want to be stuck with useless players who depend on him to advance into higher levels he already have had enough of those, however Himepi is not a newbie she was there for a long time teasing him and occasionally helping Nam Soondeceive him.

But that’s the problem, Nam Soon. She’s always helping that bastard so now he can’t help but be a little paranoid, what if the fellowship is a bait?

What if he was kicked out of the fellowship as soon as he was surrounded by the members? What if he there was a one of the thief class? Then he would be able to steal his possessions once he is no longer a member of their fellowship.

On the other hand it’s getting increasingly harder to level up on his own, the quests are getting harder now that his level is high, so he needs a fellowship that knows what to do and how to do it.

But is this one it? Or is it another trap set by Nam Soon and Himepi? This could be the ultimate trap.

[Heung Soo opened a conversation with Himepi]

[Heung Soo: if this is a trap then I swear destroying you and Nam Soon would be my top priority]

[Heung Soo left the conversation]

He sent that message to Himepi without thinking about it twice.

Woo Bin frowned and shook his head then he quickly went to check out the fellowship so he can stop his paranoid thoughts from going any further.

‘Their stats are really high . . . experts huh?’ Woo Bin wasn’t sure if he was more excited or more paranoid now, perhaps both.

“O-ookoook so Himepi your fellowship has five members with high stats huh? So why add one more?Hmmmm” Woo Binsaid out loud and stared at the screen for a long time before something clicked.

“ahaaa!! You need a crowd controller!  A stronger one that the one you have! I mean your tank has a pretty high defense stat and your supports have high attack stats but your crowd controller,‘the warlord’ is a tactician not a knight and the only knight you have is also a healer so. .  hahaah I can’t believe this you actually need me” Woo Bin sighed in relief and laughed a bit then he got weirded out by how verbal he was.

He thanked god that his mother doesn’t live with him; if she heard him talking to his computer then no amount of explanation would save him from seeing a therapist, and he doesn’t want to worry her any more than he already have, after all the last couple of years were not his best seeing that he used to drown himself in alcohol at every chance he got, not only that but he-

Woo Bin groaned out loud when he realized how depressing his thought were, he took a deep breath and hit the accept button before proceeding to contact Himepi.

[Heung Soo opened a conversation with Himepi]

Woobin winced a bit he as he read his previous message, he thought that perhaps he was too . . . harsh, if they’re really going to be helping each other then he should show better manners.

He was never polite to anyone associated with Nam Soon and he never thought he’d ever be, but there’s a first time for everything.

[Heung Soo: thankyou]

Woobin wasn’t sure it that was the right thing to say, what if she was weirded out by his out of character message.

A few seconds after he sent it he heard four Bing sounds.

[Himepi: Omg, this is the first time I ever read a nice message from you]

[Himepi:  you know who would love to receive such a message from you?]

[Himepi: Nam Soon!]

[Himepi: Nam Soon would totally love that]

Woobin’s face got red with anger or embarrassment he didn’t know.

[Heung Soo: I bet he would love to steal what’s in my box more]

[Himepi: come on, I know him better]

[Himepi: also I know for a fact that you two would ‘match’]

Woo Bin scoffed at that, as if he’d ever be able to have a civilized conversation with that jerk.

[Heung Soo: don’t push it, we would never get along let alone become friends]

[Himepi: no no you don’t get it, you’re a MATCH]

Now Woo Bin was getting uncomfortable, he sensed that there was something left unsaid.

[Heung Soo: wait, why are we talking about him?]

[Heung Soo: is there something you want to tell me?]

[Himepi: nope, I’m just saying this in case you two crossed path in the future]

[Himepi left the conversation]

The last comment made his eyes widen in shock.

’They met in real life? It could explain why she’s always on his side’ Woo Bin couldn’t help but be a little curios about Nam Soon.

‘How does he look like? How old is he? Is he really jobless?’ Woo Bin couldn’t help but imagine an old sweaty fat dude who can’t hold a full time job to save a life.

He then thought of Himepi ‘She talked like an annoying teenager, almost exactly like the ones I teach, is she his daughter or-‘He shuddered and made a disgusted face as soon as the thought entered his mind, he just really hoped that this wasn’t the case.

A notification that popped up made him a bit anxious.

[Virkov: Everyone welcome the new members to our fellowship]

[Virkov: I’m Virkov the head of the fellowship, please call me Virk]

[Virkov: We’re pleased to have you here]

Woo Bin smiled as he read that, he was relieved that the leader was a mature person who was nothing like Nam Soon.

Woo Bin had this, he can talk back polity, make a good first imprison he didn’t know why he was anxious about this before, everything is going smoothly. Or it was until-

[Nam Soon: I’m Pleased to be here Himepi talked so much about your previous quests that I couldn’t help but admire you Virk-nim]

Woo Bin’s blood turned cold as he stared dumbly at his screen, a low growl slipped from his lips. His fingers were numb; he stopped writing midsentence and just cursed his luck.

[Heung Soo: ing shut up]

[Heung Soo: why the are you here? Don’t you have anything better to do than up people’s lives?]

[Heung Soo: And for ’s sake stop kissing ]

[Nam Soon: It’s called being civilized, jerk.]

Woo Bin was so angry now he hated Nam Soo even more, he ruined his chance of a good first impression and he knew that.

Woo Bin ran his hands through his hair a couple of time before sitting straight on his chair and began trying to fix his image.

Woo Bin sighed deeply and tried to think on what to do next, should he leave the fellowship? Is it worth it to endure this frustrating guy for the sake of leveling up?

He should be congratulated for sending a calmly written message when he’s flooding with frustration and anger.

[Himepi: If I did tell you then you wouldn’t have given it a chance]

[Himepi: We need you both, he’s an exceptional thief and you’re a dark knight with abilities we can rely on]

[Himepi: I’m sorry I know it’s hard but think of it his way; he’s a stealth class so you won’t have to pair up with him in a quest, he’ll lay traps for our enemies and work for us from a distance unlike you, we need you close]

[Himepi: You being in the fellowship won’t make him leave, therefore he will level up faster than you if you left and couldn’t find a proper fellowship]

Jong Suk scoffed when he saw that Heung Soo left the conversation, surely to go vent his frustration on some poor Newbies.

“Crushing newbies what a coward” he mumbled under his breath.

Jong Suk can’t forget how many times he got crushed by that bastard when he was a newbie, Heung Soo didn’t even know him when he wanted to take revenge.

Back then Jong Suk didn’t save his progress as frequently as he should have, therefor whenever Heung Soo killed his character he would lose a few hours of achievements, that is until he finally struck back.

When Jong Suk started playing this game, which was one month ago, he didn’t know that he’d be this addicted to it.

he got really into it because he wanted to teach that guy a lesson and he even started enjoying trolling him and making traps which is why he changed his class from a knight to a thief, because in his opinion thieves have the most fun.

Jong Suk sighed when he heard the door of the apartment open, his manager came earlier than expected.

“Jong Suk, you’re still on your computer? That’s not healthy” Hyun Bin said as he put the bag in his hand on the table in front on Jong Suk.

“Hyun Bin-ah, please don’t~” Jong Suk pouted and hugged his laptop to his chest in an attempt to cling to it to the last possible second.

“Jong Suk, I’m not going to allow you to harm yourself even more” Hyun Bin said sternly while getting some items from the plastic bag.

“I brought you a painkiller for your leg” Hyun Bin’s voice was filled with concern that Jong Suk felt a little guilty for worrying him.

 “Thank you Hyun Bin-ah, but my foot doesn't hurt as much as it did a week ago, it's healing pretty good" Jong Suk assured his manager (mother hen).

He then closed his laptop not bothering to log off or tell the others that he wouldn't participate in today's quest.

He might like no love playing 'Dynasky' but he hates worrying Hyun Bin specially if he can avoid it, the middle aged man is a man with many worries as it is no need to add to that mountain.

 

Ever since he quite 'idiotically' fractured his left leg last month, he couldn't stop seeing Hyun Bin's worried face when he came to him in the hospital, needless to say that day Jong Suk decided to be more responsible so his manager could stop worrying, or at least worry less.

 

"Hyun Bin-ah, see I can be responsible for myself don't worry over me I'm fine" no matter how much Jong Suk wanted to continue playing he didn't show it neither on his face nor in his voice.

 

"I swear you're like a toddler sometimes, if I take my eyes off of you for a second you'll get yourself in a bigger mess than you can handle" Hyun Bin didn't sound at all frustrated with him instead he sounded worried and concerned.

 

"You know that's not true at all, I mean if that's the case then you'd sleep here" chuckles erupted from Jong Suk's lips after he was done saying his so clever remark.

 

"Oh, I didn't think that you'd be alright with me watching over you 24/7?  I can do that it's not a problem really just let me get my thi-"

 

"YAAA HYUN BIN-AH!, please don't do that, don't joke around with your serious face on" Hyun Bin's face didn't change for a few horrible seconds.

 

Jong Suk almost fell for it if not for Hyun Bin's laughter that broke him out of his almost panicked thoughts.

 

"See, you're not the only one who can trick people, speaking of which how is your nemesis doing?" Jong Suk knew that his manager didn't have the slightest interest in the game but he asked any way because he genuinely wanted to know how he is feeling.

 

"Yeah, about that it seems that we're going to be on the same team, he thinks he can handle me but, he does not know what's coming his way" Jong Suk chuckled happily as if he was telling the most exciting news and that made Hyun Bin break a genuine smile.

 

Jong Suk was glad that he was not just a model but an actor as well because he wasn't really that excited to work with that jerk but he wanted Hyun Bin to worry less and if faking excitement can help with that then so be it.

 

"By the way Hyun Bin-ah, you're early today is there a particular reason?" Hyun Bin came two hours earlier than he thought he would so Jong Suk was a bit curious about the reason that forced him to cut his gaming session short.

 

"hmmm yah I didn't go to my sister's house today"
Hyun Bin's tone suggested that he wanted to drop the subject and move on to something else but unfortunately for him Jong Suk was oblivious.

 

"Eeeeh!! But why? Hmm?" Hyun Bin purposely ignored him determined to not give up.

 

"Hmmm?" But as soon as he looked at Jong Suk he knew he was done for, he just can't say no to that face and Jong Suk knew that.

 

"there's a small family get together today and I didn't want to attend it" when Hyun Bin started talking Jong Suk smiled at how much of a softie his manager is before his face turned into a confused expression as he processed what was said.
 

"What? I thought you got along pretty well with your family? Did something happen?" Jong Suk knew all about Hyun Bin's family, they were a little bit crazy but they're fun and caring and he never imagined that there'd be a draft between them.
 

"yes i do and no nothing happen, it's just that my brothers are going to be there and they're like quick sand so if I step there then no one will ever see me again" 
A long pause took over them until Jong Suk broke it in a whine.
 

"Hyuuuuun Bin-aaaaah!, you don't have to feel obliged to check on me every day, I'm 24" said the pouting guy who was looking pretty much 'disoriented'.
 

"I actually do, you're age is irrelevant" 

"don't worry you will certainly be the first one i contact if anything happened" 

"Last time you didn't call anyone"
 

Jong Suk frowned at this, he knew that he made the problem even worse but two months ago at that moment it seemed perfectly reasonable to go to the hospital by himself  to care for his possible fractured foot without telling anyone because it might have been nothing.

 

". . . I know I'm sorry, i didn't think that I hurt my foot that bad"

 

"Sigh. . . Next time something happens, no matter how small it is I need you to tell me OK? Promise me that"
 

"Alrighty, I promise" the atmosphere turned cheerful all of a sudden thanks to Jong Suk's enthusiasm.
 

"Ohh, Hyun Bin-ah can we go to your sister's house? Pleeease?" That caught Hyun Bin by surprise and he doesn't know if it was a happy surprise or a terrifying one because he didn't know if he wanted his brother anywhere Jong Suk.
 

"I already met sister and your parents it's only appropriate to meet your brothers"
 

'True, but what if they scar him mentally? They're a bit crazy' Hyung Bin thought as he bit his lower lip.
 

"And the kids love me"
 

Hyun Bin seemed to be in a mental war with himself.
 

"And I haven't been outside for a while now"
 

That last line was the deal breaker, Jong Suk needs to socialize more since he's been homestuck (homestuck get it *wink* *wink*) for about two months now.
 

"Are you sure? Doesn't your foot hurt?" He was still a bit unsure.
 

"Nope" Jong Suk's reply couldn't have left his lips any faster than that.
 

"Alright, but if it start hurting you tell me immediately got it?"
 

"Yah" Jong Suk was acting like a kid who just got the WiFi password.
 

"Go change your clothes I'll be waiting here"
 

"OK, won't take long" he almost jumped off the sofa and Hyun Bin almost got a mini heart attack when he saw Jong Suk stumble.
 

"Don't rush, or you may hurt your foot" 
 

"Okay"

Woo Bin's first quest with the fellowship went better than he thought it would, Every thing went smoothly, no complications, no slip ups and most importantly no Nam Soon.
 

He thought that it'd be chaotic, or at least  problematic but it was far from that, but that's because he made an assumption that Nam Soon would be there tricking him and annoying him.
 

But surprisingly Nam Soon didn't join them in their quests, at first woo bin suspected that he would show up out of no where and KO him.
 

And now here he is two hours later already three levels higher, while he enjoyed Nam Soon's absence he wondered why he didn't show up, was it because he lost his access to the internet, or perhaps it was because woo bin was too judgmental, Woo Bin truly didn't know and he doubted that he wanted to know.
 

Woo Bin felt something brush against his leg when he looked down he smiled and reached his hand down to pick up the furry creature.

"And where have you been, you chubby fur ball, huh?" Theo the chubby black cat was not happy with Woo Bin at the moment, not that he was happy with him at any other moment to be honest.

Despite the fact that Woo Bin has been taking care of the previously abandoned cat, Theo has yet to show his appreciations for his 'owner of two years'.
 

"aoouch! Oooh someone grumpy today, what is it?" The cat just stared back at Woo Bin before attempting to scratch Woo Bin again.

"Oh, are you hungry? Lemme get something for you then"  Theo calmed down and wiggled his way out of Woo Bin's hands and stood by the door giving his owner a stare to let him know that he should follow him as fast as possible.

Woo Bin chuckled and went to open the top shelf in the kitchen only to find out that Theo's favorite brand is finished and the only substitute is the brand that Theo would leave untouched even if he's starving.

Woo Bin looked at his cat who seemed to be very much aware that his owner took everything in the grocery store but cat food, Woo Bin didn't waste any time before sprinting to his room to take his wallet, he then jumped over his mad chubby cat, snatched his shoes and got out the door.

Woo Bin released a sigh of relief as he wore his shoes outside of his apartment where he can hear his cat scratching at the door.

"I'll be back soon Theo, I'll get some snacks for you and we'll be even ok?"  Woo Bin smiled when the scratching gradually ceased.

As promised Woo Bin bought snacks and Theo's favorite brand of canned meat, and just as he proceeded to exist the store in a rush he bumped into a guy knocking them both over.

"aaahhh, awww that hurts a bit- aaww" Woo Bin heard the other guy say in a hushed soft voice before he got up and went to check how badly he injured the guy.

"I'm sorry are you alright? Do you need any hel-" Woo Bin's tongue got twisted as he got a good look at the guy on the floor.

He was ahh- he was- Woo Bin couldn't describe him with words but if had to he would say gorgeous, even though he knew that this words isn't enough of a complement for what he saw but at that moment his mind was blank and he couldn't do anything but stare dumbfounded.

"I'm fine, it's alright no harm done" the guy reached out his hand for Woo Bin to take, but the other was just a bit out of it.

"ahmmm mind helping me up?" Woo Bin was brought out of his daze when the guy chuckled at him, he must have looked pretty stupid, Woo Bin turned red and helped the guy up.

After a few moments the guy started laughing and Woo Bin found himself smiling , he didn't know why the other guy was laughing but it was beautiful and it made Woo Bin's heart fly.

After the gorgeous guy calmed down he looked at Woo Bin before beaming at him with another bright smile.

"Are you planning to let go of my hand anytime soon? I mean I don't mind your hand's very warm and all but . . . you seemed to be in a hurry" As soon as he said that Woo Bin let go of his hand and looked very embarrassed.

"ehm ehm, I'm sorry let me help you" Woo Bin picked up the other guy's belongings from the floor.

Woo Bin picked up a couple of brochures that the guy was holding before he knocked them out of his hand, and he couldn't help but glance at them, one of them was about the art museum that's going to hold an event this week and another wa-

"Oh my god is this Resident Evil's 5^th anniversary special package brochure? Where is this being sold and when- ahh ohh I missed it"

"ohhh yah this brochure is from a week ago, an event was held close by and they sold many special edition items from various games and animes, I'm sorry you misse- ohhh you have a cat aww that adorable, what's the name? "

Woo Bin took a moment to realize that Theo's food was all over the floor.

"Oh it's Theo and he's not adorable he's a grumpy chubby black cat, ohh and here you go" the guy took his things from Woo Bin and thanked him.

"Well, I guess you should be on your way then huh? To feed your cat right?"

Woo Bin nodded but he still stood still, he didn't want to go home yet, and that thought scared him a bit.

He was a homie and he had always wanted to stay at home rather than to go out, but now he actually wanted to stay right where he was, outside of the grocery store.

"Here you go, now gooo !! Feed Theo the grumpy chubby black cat" the gorgeous guy held the bag filled with cat food to him and chuckled as he remembered Theo's name.

Woo bin smiled and took the bag he slowly began to resume his way home when he heard that voice again.

" Come on go Faster! Feed the cat, Ruuuuuuuun" he looked back to see the guy waving his hands and jumping excitedly.

A smile found its way to Woo Bin's face before he took off running back home, he looked back one last time only to find a big smile coming his way and that only made him run faster as if he wanted to show the guy just how fast he can run hoping that he'd impress the guy who make his heart feel light.

When Woo Bin got home he felt like an elementary kid who tried to impress his crush in the most stupid way possible, but as he sat down next to Theo who was busy eating to his heart's contents he couldn't help but smile as he relived that moment in his mind.

Perhaps he should attend the event at the art museum.

If he did then maybe he would run into that guy again and hopefully he'll get a name this time.

i love this pair so much that i did what i thought i would never do, i wrote something. . . wow it feels weird to let someone read what was going on in my head but here it is ~ hehe kinda nervous tbh but yah i thought that it was worth the shot cuz we need more of this pairing !
