SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

 

 

  Lee Chaerin starts her monday with a nice cup of tea in her office, she arrives 30 minutes before her work starts, as a VP of the company, J&C, she doesn't want to come late, she wants to be there before their employees arrives. She opens her laptop when she heard a knock on the door

 

"Good Morning Ms. Lee.." Simi said, she's her secretary for years now, she place a bunch of folders on her table and said

 

"Here are some of the reports from the finance team. They already collected the fees from our client while this is the report came from Human Resource.." Chaerin opens one of the folders and smile

 

"So we reach our quota eh?" she asked her, Simi nods her head at her boss

 

"Let's say that we have some hard working employees and by the you and Jiyong-ssi handles this company, everyone will do their best to help.." Chaerin smiles at her, she and Jiyong, her bestfriend decided to build a company that can lend some money to the people in need, they also offer health, House and Fire, Life Insurances

 

"We're just doing what we think is the best and right for everyone.." she answered

 

"I know that Ms. Lee, anyway I already called Jiyong-ssi about his meeting later with Mr. Tan, Nomji-Unnie is absent today due to colds.."

 

"Oh okay, thanks. I'll call Jiyong again later. Maybe he's still asleep.."

 

"Okay Ms. Lee, do you need something else?" Chaerin looks around her office and smiles at her

 

"No thanks.." she said, Simi bows down her head and went out of Chaerin's office. She started to read the papers on her table when her laptop beeps and a pop-up window came out. She read the note then look at the o'clock

 

'Aisht! I think he forgot it again' Chaerin whispers, she took her cellphone from her bag and dials Daesung's number

 

"Hey Dae! Morning.." she said

 

"Morning too Chae.." Daesung answered, Chaerin was about to say something when she heard Daesung's voice

 

"I think you need something. You won't call this early if you don't.." he said, Chaerin giggles and sighs

 

"Sorry if I disturb you.." Chaerin answered

 

"You're not disturbing me Chae but for how long you will do this?" Daesung asked, Chaerin leans her back on the chair, turns it around and look out of the window

 

"I don't know Dae but as long as I can see her happy, I won't stop doing this.." she answered

 

 

 

 

 

PARK RESIDENCE

 

 Park Bom, Sandara's eldest sister is inside her room trying to wake up the younger Park. She keeps on hitting her sister with a pillow when Dara speak up

"For pete sakes Unnie! What do you want?" Dara asked, she's not in the mood today for some reasons

 

"Well Good morning to you my little sister!!" Bom answered, Dara sits on her bed and look at her, she smiles when she sees Bom pouting her lips at her

 

"I'm sorry Unnie.." she said and smiles, Bom rolls her eyes at her, she then hugs her sister and starts to tickle her

 

"Okay fine, fine.." Bom said, Dara winks at her and then Bom give her something

 

"A guy named Jiyong sent these flowers to you, isn't he sweet?" Bom said and hand over the flowers at herbut see the sadness in her sister's eyes

 

"What's wrong?" Bom asked her, Dara shook her head then sighs

 

"Come on, you can tell me.." she added, Dara looks at her and then to the flowers

 

"He told me that we're going to have a lunch date later but he called me last night and said that he can't make it. I'm going to call the restaurant and cancel the reservation.." Dara said, Bom just sighs and nudge her elbow

 

"Open the note, you'll be surprised.." she said, Dara looks at her with a furrow eyebrows

 

"Note?" she asked, Bom points out the piece of paper inside the flowers

 

"You read my note?!" Dara asked her again

 

"Well I just want to know who it came from but these eyes always betrayed me. It's not really my fault!" Bom answered, Darajust shook her head while looking at her sister

 

"Well what are you waiting for? Go on and read the note! Sheez!" Bom added and took the note and give it to her sister, Dara is a bit hesistant knowing it's just an apology from him but Bom open it up and shove it to her sister's face

 

"Gosh! Why he'd give me a sister like you!" Dara said but Bom ignores her, she looks at the paper and read the note

    Happy 2nd Year Anniversary Baby! I Love You more than you'll ever know...

Dara smiles as she saw the note, she wanted to jump for joy but she felt shy because her sister is looking at her

 

"So are you okay now?" Bom asked Dara, she nodded her head for a couple of times and smells at the flower

 

"I'm lucky to have him, Unnie.." Dara said

 

"Yeah, you do.." Bom answered but look out the window and sigh

 

 

 

 

 

J&C Company

Chaerin's Office

 

 Jiyong didn't came to work that morning so Chaerin is the one who talked to Mr. Tan about the insurances he wants to avail for his employees, good thing that Chaerin is always prepare and can handle any problem and situation with or without her bestfriend. She dials his number but Jiyong is not answering his phone

 

"Damn it!" Chaerin said and dials his house number, she waits for someone to answer and heard Hermit's voice, Jiyong's buttler

 

"Good Morning, Kwon's Residence.." he said

 

"Hey Hermit, Good Morning.." Chaerin answered

 

"Good Morning to you too Miss Lee, what can I do for you?"

 

"Uhm Is Jiyong there?" it took a while before Hermit can answer her

 

"Yes Miss, he's upstairs.."

 

"Sleeping?"

 

"No Miss.." Chaerin sighs and closes her eyes

 

"Don't tell me he's doing it again?"

 

"Sad to say this but yes Ms. Lee. I knock on his door a while to ask if he's going to work but he said no.." Hermit answered, Chaerin massage her forehead using her left hand

 

"Can you give him the phone please?"

 

"Sure Miss Lee for a while.." Chaerin patiently waits and hoping that her bestfriend will talk to her, after two to three minutes, she heard Jiyong's voice

 

"Hey Chae, Morning.." he said

 

"What are you doing huh?" Chaerin asked her, she wants to yell but she knows it's not worth it

 

"What?" Jiyong asked him

 

"You forgot that you had a meeting with Mr. Tan today.."

 

"Oh sh*t! That was today?" Jiyong asked her

 

"Yes! You're the one who set-up that meeting Ji.."

 

"I know, sorry my bad. It won't happen again.." but Chaerin knows him too well

 

"What about your lunch date with Dara?" she asked

 

"Uhm I called her last nnight that I can't make it.." Jiyong answered and Chaerin heard a door closes

 

"Why?"

 

"I ah I have some important things to do today.."

 

"Really? Like what?"

 

"Chaerin please.."

 

"Look Jiyong, it's you second year anniversary today for pete sakes!"

 

"I'll treat her tomorrow or maybe one of these days, I'm just busy.." Chaerin sighs and knows whatever she do, Jiyong won't be there

 

"Hey I have to go, just text me if there' a problem, bye.." Jiyong ended the call, Chaerin looks at her phone then place it to the table. She loves her bestfriend like her big brother and will do anything for him but sometimes her conscience is killing her, she looks at the clock and sighs

 

'It's a bit late if I cancel the lunch and I already sent a note to Dara..' she told herself, Chaerin is the one who set that lunch date as her gift to the couple, she also sent some flowers to Dara knowing Jiyong will forget it. She went out of her office and talk to Simi

 

"I'll be gone for two to three hours, Simi. Don't hesitate to call if there's a problem.." she said

 

"Sure Miss Lee, do you want me to forward all important calls to you?" Simi asked, Chaerin thinks for a while but shook her head

 

"I'm doing something important so don't let them disturb me.." Chaerin asnwered with a smile on her face

 

"Copy that Miss Lee and enjoy.."

 

 

 

Chaerin went to the restaurant first and made sure that everything is perfect. She looks at her watch and fish out her phone from her pocket, she dials a number and waits for it connect while she's on her way to the car, when the person answers it, Chaerin said

 

"I'm on my way. Give me 15 minutes.."

 

 

 

 

 

 

PARK RESIDENCE

 

Bom help her sister to find a dress to wear though she knew that she doesn't need an elegant and expensive dress just to say she's pretty, in reality she really is. As soon as Bom finishes to tie her sister's hair, she looks at her with a proud look on her face

 

"Aisht Unnie! Will you stop looking at me like that.." Dara said and put her phone inside her purse

 

"Why? What's wrong with that? I'm just proud to have a pretty sister like you.." Bom answered and starts to clean up their mess

 

"We're both pretty okay, not just me."

 

"I know that geez!" Dara laughs at her and helps her clean up while waiting for her date, Bom heard her phone  beeps and read the text message

 

"Oh Dara, come here for a while.." Bom said, she motions for her sister to sit on the couch

 

"Yeah Unnie.." Dara said

 

"Uhm it's about the lunch date with Jiyong.." Bom said, Dara give her a small smile and sigh, she looks down but then looks at her sister again

 

"It's okay Unnie.." she said

 

"Huh?" Bom asked with a confused look on her face

 

"I know he won't come.." Dara answered when they heard a doorbell, Dara stands up and opens the door, she saw Chaerin standing there

 

"Hey Chae.." Dara said with a smile on her face, Chaerin smiles and opens but no words came out

 

Oh great! You act like a fool in front of her AGAIN

 

"Chaerin?" Dara calls her, Bom facepalm her face and walks towards the two

 

"Chaerin!!" she shouted, Chaerin was like hit by two ten wheeler truck when Bom hits her on the shoulder

 

"Hey! That hurts Unnie!" Chaerin said

 

"See? Works every time!" Bom said to her sister, Dara laughs and looks at her

 

"You okay?" Dara asked her

 

"Oh yeah, yeah. T-this is for you.." Chaerin said and hand over her a boquet of fresh red roses, Dara smiles at her and took the flowers

 

"Thanks Chaerin, come in.." she said, she step aside to give way to Chaerin and the latter came in. She told Chaerin to sit on the couch while she puts the flower in the vase, Chaerin is left with Bom who is sweeping the floor

 

"Where's your very humble bestfriend?" Bom asked Chaerin, she stops on what she's doing and stand in front of her

 

"Oh ah, he said that, he needs to do something today but he's very sad because he won't make it to their lunch date.." Chaerin answered, Bom raised an eyebrows at her and said

 

"Really? Try to teach yourself how to tell a lie Chaerin, you're face shows that you're not telling me the truth.."

 

"Unnie come on, Dara might hear us. I don't her to be sad on their anniversary.." Chaerin said

 

"Then what do you think she's feeling right now?" Chaerin looks to where she last seen Dara and looks at Bom

 

"I'll do my best to make her happy today, Unnie.." she answered when Dara came back into the living room

 

"So shall we?" Dara asked, Bom looks at Chaerin then the latter did the same

 

"You know that Chaerin is your proxy date today?" Bom asked her sister

 

"Yes, come on Chae. I'm kinda starving.." Dara answerd and pulls Chaerin away

 

 

 

 

After 15 minutes of driving, Chaerin and Dara arrives at the restaurant. Dara was surprise to see that the restaurant is still closed

 

"Ah, I think they are still close Chaerin.." Dara said to her but Chaerin just smiles at Dara and took her hand

 

"Nah, follow me.." she said and pulls her gently, when they reach the door, Chaerin turns the knob and made Dara enters first, she closes the door behind her

 

"Okay now Dara I want you to close your eyes.." Chaerin said to her

 

"Huh?" Dara asked

 

"Trust me on this one, okay? Please.." Chaerin pouts her lips on Dara as the latter giggles and nods her head, she closes her eyes as Chaerin guides her towards inside

 

"Don't open your eyes until I say so.." Chaerin said

 

"Where are you doing Chaerin?" Dara asked her

 

"You'll know in a minute.." she answered, they continue on walking when Chaerin let go of Dara's hand

 

"Chae?" Dara calls her but she's not answering

 

"Where did you go Chaerin?" Dara asked

 

"Just stay where you are. I'll tell you when to open your eyes.." Chaerin answered, Dara notice that Chaerin's voice is a bit far from her then she heard a music playing, a smile formed on Dara's lips

 

"Dara.." Chaerin said, she chose the instrumental song Heaven by Ailee

 

"Open your eyes.." she added, she watch as Dara slowly opens her eyes and saw her look around, she feels proud of herself for the smile she sees on Dara's face
