Roses for the Unfortunate (ON HIATUS)
Description
[May be rewritten in the near future]
Words unsaid, words created, words forgotten.
For Song Daeha, that day was the day the words didn't come.
But he did.
And words can only do so much, right?
Foreword
Song Daeha is strange.
Not in a bad way, but not in a good way either; if anything, Song Daeha is unfortunate.
But that isn't the right word either. Because Song Daeha loves words, and those were what made her strange.
Because her words come rarely, and few, like castaway dreams floating on the laziness of an autumn afternoon.
High-school doesn't suit her. Going out after lessons with her friends doesn't suit her. Wearing makeup doesn't suit her. Gossiping about other people doesn't suit her. Squealing after pop idols doesn't suit her. Going out after lessons with humans of the male race doesn't suit her.
Sitting in a secluded cafe with her old childhood friend does.
Sleeping in the back room of a secluded cafe with her old childhood friend does.
Catching dreams in a net made of words in the back room of a secluded cafe with her old childhood friend does.
Song Daeha is strange.
A third-person POV story, which means lots of 'she' and 'he' and 'they', unfortunately... :c
FOREWORD
My first fanfic~ ୧ʕ•̀ᴥ•́ʔ୨
First of all, I really did try my best to make this story into something that hasn't been used before. Cliche is a deadly thing, but it's a lot harder than one might think, to write an original story, because there are so many outstanding people out there already, writing stories and making words. ^ ^
I mean, it took me a good ten minutes to decide whether to put the character list in the description textbox or the foreword textbox... so it can't be that bad, right?
Riiight.
...
Enjoy~
Characters
Song Daeha - Protagonist. A girl who dreams and writes. Harbours an immense dislike for makeup, bitter coffee and cats. She doesn't fit into the 'perfect high-school girl' image, so she's a bit of an outcast.
Jeon Jungkook - Protagonist. A boy who moves to Seoul in the summer to study performing arts. A good friend of Song Daeha's old childhood friend, Park Seolhyun. He stands on the opposite end of the proverbial social ladder - a school celebrity.
Lee Hanbi - Side Character. Song Daeha's first high-school friend. An astonishingly talented aspiring artist who works part-time at Seolhyun's cafe. Very upfront, doesn't take anything from anyone - especially boys - and is fiercely loyal. She doesn't really seem like an outcast, does she?
Park Seolhyun - Side Character. Song Daeha's old childhood friend who moved to Seoul to marry her fiance, Kim Minjae. She is the owner of a cafe in uptown Seoul, and majored in medical sciences when she was in university.
Other Side Characters - Kim Taehyung, Park Jimin, Kim Seokjin, Kim Namjoon, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok and more to be introduced~
