I was the one whose laughter echoed through the room whenever you lifted me into the air. I was the one that blushed whenever you hugged me. I was the one who turned your frown into a smile, the one whom you loved so much with a deep, undying passion. Or at least, that's what my diary says

Do you remember me? Our dates were secretive, rare, and treasured. We walked down the dimly-lit streets at night, hand-in-hand, trying to avoid the public eye. Whenever people started to narrow their eyes at us, we ran with all our might. I'm not sure what you felt, but all I felt was exhilaration, love and protection. The adrenaline I got from holding that hand; I could sense your worry for me as you gripped my thin, lean fingers tightly and pulled me away from those narrowed eyes. You knew, that if anyone could even get one proper look, both of our careers would be in danger. But it didn't matter that your future could be ruined, you cared for me more than you cared for yourself. You always said, when you love someone, you don't matter. Or at least, that's what my diary says.

Do you remember me? They say you probably do. I was your first love, and I still belong to you. You were a man of few words, but when we first met, you'd somehow rattle non-stop and whisper sweet nothings into my ear. When we started dating, you'd take me everywhere to meet your billion friends and introduce them to me. Maybe not introduce, but flaunt me as if I was the best girlfriend anyone could ask for, for I was the best person that could have ever appeared in your life. Or at least, that's what my diary says.
