Description

- She sees him one Saturday morning during work, just sitting there with a book in hand and a cup of coffee sitting beside him. Her co-workers says he's hot but she knows better than to fawn over him since chances are, she might never see him again. But then, she sees him every weekend, no matter where she goes. The stranger becomes even strange when he introduces himself as Jimin and all of a sudden, Nara thinks that sometimes it's just too long to the weekends.

Foreword

 - As a broke college student, Nara needed all the money she could get. When offered a decent paying job at a nearby cafe, she accepts without blinking. It's all a slow ride in life for her, just the way she likes after that. But on one particular Saturday when she was serving other customers on the second floor, her female co-workers all rave about the handsome young man who walked in when she comes back down. She throws him a few glances in curiosity, nodding in agreement to them that he was a pretty face to look at. He gives her a smile when he passes by the counter to leave but she pays no thought towards it, thinking it was a polite gesture.

The next weekend, she gets off work early. Happily, she skips back home to get ready for the party she was invited to by the campus' poster girl and her new found friend, Lee Jieun. It happened around a few weeks back when the two had a chance encounter with each other. This was surprising for everyone on campus as well, and within one week, she had suddenly been pulled into joining the popular kids. There's nothing that she would complain about it since they were nice and not bratty rich kids. Sometimes, Nara would pinch herself randomly to ensure her that this was all really happening all because she pointed out to Jieun that she left one of her books on the desks after a lecture. Nara chases after her, pushing people out of the way just to get to her.

"Hey-" She stops half way, panting with her hands on her knees before catching her breath and straightening herself, "You left your book earlier." Jieun is surprised that someone would do so much for her but smiles to cover herself. "Oh, thanks." She takes the book from the girl's hand and Nara nods before turning around to walk away when Jieun calls out to her.

"Wait!"

People are starting to look at them and she feels uncomfortable but still turns back around, "Yes?" Nara gives her an unsure smile but Jieun surprises her when she asks with a tilt of her head, "Wanna go grab some lunch together?" Seeing an unsure look on the former's face, she smiles to reassure her and somehow Nara is blinded by the kindness of her smile. "Uh, sure." Nara walks up to her and they fall in step together. "I'm Lee Jieun, by the way." She says with a smile again and Nara thinks that it's very contagious so she copies her action, "I'm Min Nara."

As they spent a decent lunch together, Nara thinks to herself that Jieun isn't as bad as the rumours described her and truly enjoys her presence. She didn't think that this was true, that the famous Lee Jieun was eating lunch with her and seemed genuinely happy to be spending it with her. Nor did she expected that the girl introduced Nara to her friends the next day.

But the surprising thing that snapped her back into reality was she saw the stranger from last week in the party that day. What's even more shocking was that he sent her a smile that screamed that he knew who she was. She panicked and turned away, talking to Jieun and her friends but she could just feel his eyes on the back of her head. When she gathers enough courage to look back at him, he holds her gaze strongly.

He mouths something to her before turning back to his friends. And through the whole night, no matter how hard she danced and how much she drank, she couldn't get rid of the image of him saying those words to her over and over again. It was like a broken record, never stopping even as she washed up and tiredly dragged her body towards her bed. Her mind replays the memory one more time before her eyes closed and her body drifted off to sleep.

 "See you next weekend."
